It’s curtains for Kohinoor

This can certainly be called a comedy of errors. Fifteen days ago, SaharaOne introduced two new characters — Zarina Wahab and Rahul Singh — in Cinevistaas' Kohinoor. The latest is that Kohinoor has been asked to pack up; shooting has stopped and it will go off air in mid-December.

Purnendu Bose, COO, SaharaOne, admitted the show was coming to an end. "The hunt for the Kohinoor is over. At the time of the launch, we had clearly mentioned that this show would have a limited span, and not be stretched for the heck of it. By the middle of this month, it will be over."

The hunt is over… but will the Kohinoor be found? Is the show coming to a logical end, or is it being abruptly pulled off? "I can't tell you whether the Kohinoor will be found or not. You need to watch the show for that. But yes, it's coming to an end, which will not lead to any debate."

While Wahab had been told she had a cameo, Singh had not. Initially, Singh said, "I think they are pausing the show and will come back after some time." Later, he added, "It's okay. Films work with a definite script; TV serials do not. I had a good time and I have no regrets."
