Overworked Amit Sadh takes ill

Amit Sadh: in bad shape!

overworked and over exerted, Amit Sadh is in bed with fever, sore throat and a possible case of typhoid (he's waiting for his blood report to come in). That makes Amit and his partner, Neeru Bajwa, a doubtful starter for Nach Baliye's performance night this Thursday!

"I have been working while running a temperature of 102-103 degree Celsius for the last three or four days for Kohinoor, and because of that Nach Baliye will suffer. I don't know if we will make it or not!" moans Amit, whose subdued voice reflects his physical state.

It has been reported earlier that the SaharaOne show has no bank of episodes and the actors, including leading lady Kuljeet Randhwa and the show's director (he is down with typhoid) have taken ill. When we visited the sets, we had noticed the cast going through their scenes bleary eyed and tired. We had even seen Kuljeet dozing off in between shots!

"I am in bad shape and really if I could have taken a day off, then I would have been better off now. In this state as well, they keep bugging me with calls," says the exasperated actor.

Not wishing to blame his 'brothers,' Siddharth Malhotra and Uday Mehta at Cinevistaas for the chaos at Kohinoor, Amit has already spoken to the duo, who have reassured him of their support. "Yes, I spoke to them yesterday and they understood my situation, but see, in a daily, you can't afford to be ill for a long time, if I have typhiod, then I'll be out for some time and they might be compelled to replace me..." rues Amit.

Meanwhile, Amit and Neeru sizzled in the introductory episodes of Nach Baliye on Tuesday and Wednesday and looked promising enough to make it to the top three and it will be a pity if they are forced to opt out!

"If you had called me yesterday, I wouldn't have been able to speak to you...mera gala pak gaya tha (my throat was sore)," sighs Amit.
