I agree a 100%. I mean so what if we did not have the deep necklines to discuss or the latest gossip to hear for a change. Gosh it was an awsome episode and then ppl complain abt karan only inviting sharukh khan and kajol and all and say that they want to see new ppl on the show but when he actually has someon as big as richard gere they say the episode was a waste of time.

Well, neither did I say I was more interested in watching Ekta's serials, netiher did I say I had an infatuation with 'tadka'. I have not seen the episode and I just assumed, from reading the comment by 'niya' (the post before mine), that it was 'boring' as it didn't have anyone except him. I, as an Indian, would rather enjoy seeing Bollywood actors/actresses/personalities/celebs than Hollywood ones. And, plus, I don't take this talk-show as seriously as you seem to take it. I take it as a fun show, a relief from my otherwise heavy sunday schedule. When I said tadka, I meant fun / funny.
No offence meant.

Not many members here were interested to watch the episode. Did the episode live with it expectations?

Many people wont be interested because the man is not from bollywood.I thought it was a good episode.

Rate Richard Gere on his Intelligence.

I loved him. 10/10. He's very intelligent and sensible.

Karan Johar and Richard Gere aren't friends, so keeping in the mind, Did Karan ask straight forward and personal questions?

Yes straight foward questions.

Did you like the idea Karan invited Richard Gere, or you thought one bollywood guest should had been invited?

I dont know wheather it was necessary or not but i liked the idea. The topic being discussed is important and we shd be aware.

Rapidfire Round- Rate Richard Gere on his performance.

😆He was politicaly correct.5/10.

Was it rude when Richard and Karan said: Who is Shahrukh Khan? Or was it just publicity stunt for the promotion of the episode.

It was said good humourily. He said he'll do really well in bollywood when Karan said just lik Srk and then Karan said who is Srk and he repeated it.(just to say he'll be that good).Ya so it was a joke and was shown in a rude way in the promos 4 promotion of the epi.

Overall did you liked the guest?

I loved the guest. He's a very intelligent, straight foward and a sweet gentleman. He is very inspiring and ppl shd learn frm him and contribute 4 such causes and see the work this man does and the kind of person he is rather than just laughing at the stupid controversy with Shilpa.

On the dress Scale, Rate Richard gere.

7/10.

Overall, Did you enjoyed the Episode, Rate it.

Yes i liked it. 7/10.

I thought the episode was great - I would much rather watch someone with substance on the show than someone like, say, Rakhi Sawant or Ekta Kapoor (not that I have anythin particularly against them). And as for being an "Indian" and Richard being from Hollywood - the man has spent 30 years trying to improve life for the impoverished, disease-ridden lower classes of INDIA - no "Indian" actor can claim to have done half as much work as Richard for the people of their own country, without having some ulterior motive. I think, in this case, it rather makes Richard an honorary Indian - someone us Indians should be proud to have come to our country. They barely even talked about Hollywood - it was all about Richard's work in India, and about the Indian film stars he met and liked. Hardly a jump from our usual Koffee conversation...

I loved this episode. Being the total desi I am, I had not seen much of Richard Gere before, but he is an amazing person. I think it surpassed my expectations!

Rate Richard Gere on his Intelligence.

Intelligence - 10/10. If I were to rate him on his sensitivity, I would surely say 11/10.

Karan Johar and Richard Gere aren't friends, so keeping in the mind, Did Karan ask straight forward and personal questions?

There were not many personal questions. But the questions about his work for AIDS and Tibet were perfect and his answers were straight forward as well.

Did you like the idea Karan invited Richard Gere, or you thought one bollywood guest should had been invited?

I think Richard alone did full justice to KWK. Some Bollywood celebrity would have reduced this episode to a gossip session as well.

Rapidfire Round- Rate Richard Gere on his performance.

As they said, it wasn't much rapid and there was no fire. But, the answers were very informative and said a lot about Mr. Gere. I would give him a 7 out of 10.

Was it rude when Richard and Karan said: Who is Shahrukh Khan? Or was it just publicity stunt for the promotion of the episode.

Oh that was pure humor with no offence intended. He did mention SRK before this joke, so he does know him. In fact, Gere appreciated Khan in the episode!

Overall did you liked the guest?

Undoubtedly!

On the dress Scale, Rate Richard gere.

I don't think it mattered.

Overall, Did you enjoyed the Episode, Rate it.

This episode was not meant for enjoyment. For once, KWK talked sensible stuff, Karan didn't act know-it-all. All in all, this was a really sensible episode. It's a must-watch! 10/10.
