AA DEKHEN ZARAA.....
The classes ended and students filed out of the academy. Aarohi was waiting nervously for Poorvi to turn up. Arjun and sahil were playing around in the corridor...but Arjun's keen eyes were hawking on Aarohi."Who was she waiting for so anxiously? Boyfriend?" He didn't know why he felt something gnawing at his heart..."Why should I care? That gal holds no importance whatsoever in my life....infact I am gonna make her life in the academy living hell...she had the flipping audacity to slap me....just you wait Miss. Mirchi....I am gonna give a jhataka of your own taste!" he evilly thought to himself.
Poorvi arrived just then and walked straight to Aarohi beaming "Tere rehne ka intezaam ho gaya hai....tu Punj Mansion ke outhouse mein rahegi." Aarohi jumped...."wow!" and hugged Poorvi...."Hey wait....kya kaha tumne? Punj Mansion...." she asked unsurely.....had she heard it right?
"Yes....Punj uncle has agreed to accomodate you there." Arjun squinted at the girl who was talking to that ill-mannered fresher.....he felt her face familiar.
"Sahil,woh ladki dekh rahe ho? Kya hum usse jaante hai?" he asked pointing in Poorvi's direction. Sahil turned and saw the sight...."Arre, yeh toh Poorvi hai, Arjun you sure act funny.......woh Aarohi ko kaisi jaanti hai?"
"Chalo....usse milte hai" Sahil dragged Arjun near the girls who were arguing about something heatedly.
"Aarohi....tumhara problem kya hai????.....jao bhaadh mein tum....paas mein ek park hai wahin par reh lena...theek hai...." she exasparatedly told Arohi.
"Poorvi,tu samajh nahi rahi hai....main wahaan nahi reh sakti..."
Sahil interrupted their conversation..."Hey Poorvi...tum yahaan...kaise aana hua?"
"Hey Sahil....Hey Arjun!!! Oh I forgot tum dono bhi yahaan padhte ho na!"
She hugged them both and Arjun smirked at the look on Aarohi's face...as though she had been punched hard. Poorvi turned around and made the necessary introductions "Aarohi...this Sahil and this is Arjun...they are my second cousin's.....that is we all share the same great grandmom." Aarohi stupidly blinked at them unable to digest the information that such a doll like Poorvi could be related to sumone as gross as Arjun.
"Dekho na....yeh ladki meri baat sun hi nahi rahi hai....DK uncle ne usse tumhare outhouse mein rehne ki permission de di hai.....magar she refuses to stay there."
Aarohi looked down and Sahil felt uncomfortable knowing perfectly the reason she was refusing for. Arjun just raised his eyebrows and smirked "Kyun...lagta hai isse main house mein rehna ka zyaada shauk hai..." Aarohi threw him a deep look of loathing.
"Aarohi theek hai agar tu such much wahaan nahi rehna chahti hai toh....main DK uncle se boldungi"
Aarohi was confused and looked helplessly at Poorvi.....and then registered the taunting looks that Arjun was throwing at her." Theek hai..." she gave in. Poorvi smiled and looked at the guys..."Why don't you both take her along anyways to the same location...."
"Mera samaan?" Aarohi tried to evade the prospect of journeying with the two dingbats.
"Sab kuch chala gaya hai....ab tu jaa...aur pahunchte hi phone karna" she hugged Aarohi affectionately.
"Bye guys...will see ya later!" she waved to the trio.
Aarohi walked hesitantly behing the two guys....cursing her fate. Suddenly she turned around and wildly shouted "Hey Poorvi...where is his album?" Arjun stopped in his tracks....'HIS ALBUM' surely she didn't have sum boyfriend tucked away behind her dupatta.
"I've sent it...." Poorvi shouted back.
Arjun decided to drive the car and got into the seat while Sahil courteously opened the door for Aarohi to sit. "Thank you" she smiled at him. He smiled back.....this lil interaction seemed to irritate Arjun. "Sahil jaldi kar...we have loads of work!" Sahil jumped inside in the front seat...."huh...loads of work?"
Arjun began driving at a mad pace and Aarohi closed her eyes tight. Sahil turned around and began..."Err... Aarohi...we are sorry about whatever happened at the academy....it was purely unintentional?"
"Oh...so u mean ragging is unintentional....wow that's news to me!" she grinned at him. Atleast he had the decency enough to apologise...and she looked at the man driving the car...ufffff!!!!
"It's okay...." she replied breaking away from her thoughts.
Sahil let out a sigh of relief ...he held out his hand to her..."so...friends?"
Aarohi took it and shook it warmly smiling back which Arjun just accelerated and took a sudden sharp turn..."Hey slow man!!! Jaan lega kya?"...
The truth was...yes...Arjun didn't know why but he felt like killing Sahil right now. "Maybe because he was your friend till now and now he has decided to bcum friends with your enemy...so you are feeling betrayed" he reasoned.
After 15 more minutes of an uncomfortable drive the car entered the gates of Punj Mansion. Aarohi's jaw hung low with awe at the massive fort before her. "Isme log rehtein hain?" she asked stupidly. Sahil sniggered "Nahi janwar!" ....Arjun turned and gave him one long and hard look and Sahil muttered "just kidding!" The car's engine dies and the trio alighted from it. "Chalo main tumhe outhouse tak chod doonga..." Sahil offered. Arjun wrinkled his forehead..."Sahil I think u forgot but you have to sort out sum issue with the sports club...."
"Haan yaar....Aarohi sorry...Arjun tum isse chod do na" Sahil sprinted away leaving Arjun and Aarohi together. "Toh chale?" Arjun smirked.
Aarohi just rolled her eyes and followed him. " Tum gaa sakti ho yah...simply academy join ki hai....kyunki kuch aur kaam waam nahi mila?" he asked her.
"Music mera passion hai!" Aarohi defended her choice.
"Oh I see..." The rest of the walk was in silence....Arjun studied Aarohi carefully...she was extremely pretty with silky hair and sharp features. Aarohi felt his scorching gaze on her..."Arjun stop staring at me...." she sharply said. "Puhleasse.....I am not at all interested in any thing about you...don't get ne ideas into ur head and flatter urself" he barked back. "Whatever....." she airily retorted.
"Yeh raha outhouse....and if you want anything...."he began
Aarohi pinched herself to see if she was hearing him right...he couldn't be possibly offering to give her help....
"don't bother me!!!!" he completed, tartily.
"Fine!" she stamped her foot and proceeded into the room after slamming the door on his face.
DK enquired to Teddy,their butler "Woh ladki ...Poorvi ki dost aa gayi kya?"
"Jee sir woh ...outhouse mein hai....very sweet girl sir."
D K looked at teddy with eyebrow's raised...it was not everyday that Teddy gave someone his praise. He arose from the chaise lounge and ordered "Arjun ko kaho ki woh dinner kar le....I will be late." He started for the outhouse...he wanted to see this girl who had managed to melt Teddy's heart.
After a brisk walk he reached the outhouse....and was stunned to hear a extremely soul-stirring voice flowing forth from the main hall. He silently pushed the door open and peeped inside.... Aarohi had one hand over her ear and was lost in her song. Her voice was magical and DK was mesmerized by it.

She opened her eyes at the sound of claps and was surprised to see a tall,handsome man standing before her. "Beti tumhari awaaz mein toh jadoo hain....Hello I am DK Punj" He put forward his hand for a handshake. She smiled and took it "Thank you sir!"
"Sir nahi...uncle kaho....tum Taraana academy mein padhti ho na?"
"haan sir...abhi abhi join kiya hai..."
"Mera beta Arjun bhi wahin par padhta hai...have you had dinner?"
"No sir..."
"Chalo mere saath...we'll have dinner together."
DK was extremely happy.....she looked elated at being praised.
"Tumhara naam kya hai beti?"he enquired.
"Aarohi Sharma...."
" Aarohi....such much maine aaj tak kissi ko itna accha gaate hue nahin suna...."
"Sir aapke taareef se mera pet bhar gaya hai...dinner ke liye jagah nahi rahega..." she giggled good-naturedly. DK surveyed her...she seemed a perfect fit to set Arjun right. Maybe if he asked her to give him a 100volt jhatka and bring him to his senses...and make him focus on his singing career...
They reached the house and Aarohi just gawked at its lavish interiors...and suddenly her eyes caught sight of Arjun with his spoon mid-air staring at them. DK approached his son and said loudly" Arjun tum Aarohi ko jaante ho? Yeh tumhare academy mein padhti hai..." He just rolled his eyes and continued looking at his plate...DK was offended..."Young man, I asked you sumthing."
"No dad...I dunno who she is...." Arjun realized it was not proper to annoy him in front of Aarohi.
"You must hear her sing....she is the best!!!!!" he raved while Aarohi coloured a deep pink.
Arjun placed his spoon down and crossed his fingers ..."I am all ears....begin...."
Aarohi felt her throat drying up and the song bakc in brain blanked out looking at the depth of Arjun's deep brown eyes...."Go ahead Aarohi" DK encouraged.
She swallowed hard and looked at him...
Her heart opened up and....beautiful melody cascaded forth......

Arjun looked at her as if she had put some spell on him.....they were both drowning...she,in his eyes and he,in her voice.....Nothing else existed but the feeling of everlasting bliss. DK snapped hi fingers in front of Arjun's eyes..."Kahaan kho gaye?"Arjun realized that he had been staring too long and look down unable to meet her eyes...She also looked away feeling heat of his sizzling look. "It was fantabulous!!!" he said at last. "Thank you" she murmured. Sahil walked in just then..."Woh kiski awaaz thi?" ....and saw Aarohi "OMG! Aarohi tum itni acchi gaati ho!!! Mindblowing yaar!" DK looked confused..."Sahil tum isse jaante ho?"
"Haan uncle...yeh toh hamare academy mein fresher hain....Kyun Arjun?"
Arjun looked sheepish....DK faced him "So you don't know who Aarohi is?"
He pushed the chair and got up ready to throw a temper tantrum as always..."Dad please..."
"Shut up Arjun...today you will listen to me...Probably you and Aarohi hit off on the wrong grounds...but better sort out your problems cause I am launching her with you in your first album. You got me!!!!" Arjun looked thunderstruck.....He had been dreaming of his gr8 break so passionately....and now he had to endure this sort of a torture. "I'd like you to drop Aarohi bakc at the outhouse,Arjun. And please sort out your differences on the way. I expect you both tomorrow at the studio after your day at the academy."
