Part 4

Dadi was sitting in hall with Rudra and Kumud (Arjun's parents)..they were having there evening tea..just then Arjun entered in hall..pretty much early than his usual time..they all stood up shocked seeing him this early..

Dadi: Arjun..tu? mein koi sapna toh ni dekh ri?

Arjun: come on Dadi...he rolled his eyes..i just thought I should try to come out of all it..

Kumud went near to him with teary eyes..she kept her hand on his shoulder..

Kumud: m so happy..u r trying..she cupped his cheek and dropped a motherly kiss on his forehead..

Rudra too came n took him in his embrace..

Rudra: we are always there for u son..

Arjun nodded..for how long he was ignoring their love and making them suffer too along with him..

Arjun: m sorry Mom..Dad..Dadi..i was so lost in my pain..that..

Dadi: chup kar..family hoti kisliye h..she wiped her tears..abhi tum log yhn betho aur mein mere Arjun ka manpasand hawa bnake aati hun...khaeyga na? she asked him politely..

Arjun: bilkul khaunga...aur bhut sara khaunga..he chuckled..

Dadi caressed his face and then went to kitchen ordering all the servants..

Arjun came out of washroom changing his clothes and patting his stomach...seeing him early his Dadi and his mom got so excited that they made him eat so much food that he had not eaten in last 3 years..

He never realized that his small effort will make them so happy..thanks to Arohi..that she made him realize that his family deserve some of his time..

He don't know why her simple words affected him..there is something in that girl which attracts him to her..her eyes...they are so deep..her smile hide something mysterious behind it..there is much more to her...she don't want people to see through her..but she has this hunger for life..a positive attitude towards everything..

Arjun shook his head as he was almost sinking in her thoughts..after almost 3 years his thoughts were full of someone else..instead of his bitter memories and betrayals..

He switched off lights and finally call it night blocking all his thoughts..

Next day again Arjun stood outside his office hearing her sing..there was a magic in her voice soothing his ached heart..

As he entered the office..he saw fresh flowers were placed in vase..she helped him n removing his jacket and started telling his schedule for the day..

Arohi: and then there is a lunch meeting with Mr Sinha at 1 pm..she closed her notepad and stood infront of him..

Arjun: okay..read this file and fill me with details before meeting..

Arohi: okay sir..and sir there are some files which needs ur signatures..

Arjun: I will see them..u send Mr Sharma in..

Arohi nodded n left..

Arjun and Arohi entered in restaurant where the meeting was to be held..Arohi's eyes popped out seeing the lavish restaurant..her amazement didn't go missed by Arjun but he ignored it..she had never seen this big restaurant in her life...although Shimla many big restaurants but she never got chance to visit them...manager lead them to their reserved table which was in corner near window..

As they sat Arohi quickly filled Arjun with all the details..they were still discussion few tings when Arjun's phone rang..

Arjun sighed as he hung up the phone...

Arohi: wat happened sir? She asked worried..

Arjun: it was Mr Sinha..he wont be able to make it to meeting today..

Arohi: oh..she said nodding..

Arjun: he will set up other soon..

Arohi: okay..i will go through ur schedule before setting one..she stood up from her seat..

Arjun looked her confused..

Arjun: where are you going now?

Arohi: office..she said as its quite obvious...Mr Sinha is not coming so..

Arjun: sit back..

Arohi looked him and quietly took back her seat..

Arjun: its lunch time..lets go after having lunch..

Arohi: are you sure sir?

Arjun: place ur order Miss Arohi..

Arohi hesitantly opened the menu card..her eyes grew wide seeing prices of everything..now its neither a business dinner nor she is on a date with Arjun..so she will have to pay for her order..she peeped at Arjun who was busy in choosing his order...

Arjun signaled to waiter and placed his order...he looked at Arohi for placing her order..

Arohi: Lime water..

Arjun raised his eyebrow..

Arjun: Miss Arohi..only Lime Water?

Arohi: yeah..only lime water..she smiled hesitantly..

Arjun shrugged his shoulders and asked waiter to leave...

Arjun: Miss Arohi its lunch time why are you not having something?

Arohi: no sir its fine..m not feeling that hungry...and to prove her wrong her stomach growled..

Arjun: I don't think so Miss Arohi..

Arohi: No Sir..

Arjun: what's the problem Miss Arohi? Why are you not eating anything? He asked getting angry now..

Arohi: everything is so costly...I don't have enough money..she said embarrassingly hiding her eyes from him

Arjun didn't know what he should do with this silly girl..

He controlled his anger: Miss Arohi...place order now !!

Arohi: but sir..

Arjun: waiter..add Pasta to order too..

Arohi: sr..iski zarurat..

Arjun: m paying the bill..u don't need too worry..

Arohi opened her mouth to say something but Arjun cut her between..

Arjun: take it as my thank u for u..

Arohi: thank u for what?

Arjun: u made me realize that I should give some time to my family..he said in slow voice..

Arohi: my pleasure sir..she smiled broadly..

Arjun just nodded as he shifted his attention somewhere..

Soon their order was served..

They both were eating silently..when Arohi broke the silence..

Arjun: sir vaise apki family mein kon kon h? she asked eating her pasta..

Arjun: My Mom..Dad..Dadi..an elder sister and...he trailed off..

Arohi: and?

Arjun: and no one...

Arohi: n wat about girlfriend?

Arjun gave a frustrated sigh: I don't have a girlfriend Miss Arohi..

Arohi looked him amazed: seriously aapki girlfriend nhi h...I mean Mr Arjun Singhania don't have a girlfriend..!!

Arjun looked him confused: now what's so shocking about it?

Arohi controlled her shock: I mean sir..u are hot..handsome..smart...rich and haan thode se sadu ho but itna toh chlta h..she said all in one go not realizing her words..

Arjun raised his eyebrow which made her stop and realize her words..

Arohi: I mean sir..u are prince charming of every girl's dream..i mean u r so fit...she mentally cursed herself as she was blabbering every other thing in her mind..i mean sir u..

Arjun: I got it Miss Arohi..he silenced her..

Arohi: sorry sir..

Arjun: is sorry ur favorite word?

Arohi looked him embarrassingly..

Arjun shook his head and concentrated back on his food..

Arohi: sir..she whispered...apki sach mein koi girlfriend nhi h?

Arjun: yes Miss Arohi nhi h...he said in annoying tone..apko koi problem h?

Arohi: nhi sir..mein toh bas vaise hi...

Rest lunch passed quietly..

Next few days passed like every normal day..

Arjun reached office and as usual stood outside trying to listen Arohi singing but this time he was welcomed by silence only..he silently peeked inside and saw her doing her daily tasks lost somewhere..he entered inside but she didn't noticed his presence..he coughed but still she was lost somewhere..he coughed loudly this time grabbing her attention..

Arohi looked him like a lost baby..

Arjun: Good Morning Miss Arohi..

Arohi: Good Morning Sir..her voice was not energetic and melodious like everyday..and her smile was missing too..and one look at her he could say she had a sleepless night..he looked her keenly but Arohi didn't maintained eye contact with him and moved to pick her notepad from table..

Arjun's eyes shifted to vase on side table..today she didn't changed the flowers with fresh one..he could easily see that today she was not herself..she was lost somewhere..he was observing her as she read his schedule out to him..as she was done she turned to leave but Arjun stopped her..

Arjun: Miss Arohi..everything okay? He asked in concerned voice..

Arohi tried to smile her best: yes sir..and she left..

Arjun looked at her worried something was definitely wrong but he can't force her to tell..

He resumed to his work but his mind was struck at Arohi..her dull face and red eyes not leaving his mind..
