this is really a dificult and sensitive topic... 70 years back at my country me have the same problem one can't marry if they were from different religion and some time someone who were in love got killed for this reasons, and them that escaped the death still have gone far away from their families ...thank god these days no one give importance to this. one can marry who want and can chose the religion .
for me it's better this way i never have liked thinks to be imposted.
pm me when update

yeah...its one topic that also gets onto my nerves...

religion is something that actually teaches us to believe in love, help each other...and not create differences...

there are so many examples in my friend circle...

1. one of my friend got married to a guy from other religion...she used to like him, tried to convince her parents...but parents only agreed if he converted...which eventually he did for his love.At least Thank God his parents were understanding than the girls, they agreed.

2. Same case with my other friend, when she told her parents, they kept the same condition, boy and his parents didn't agree, so one fine day she ran away from her home, got married and converted into his religion.

3. one of my friend(guy) likes a girl a lot but she is from different religion, he is struggling from 2 years, trying to convince his parents but they are denying...she is even ready to convert..still they deny.

4. two of my good friends...they know already what answer they will be getting from their parents...so they are even scared to ask them...whenever they meet, they have tears in their eyes...we all can see the love...i don't know how the parents can't...

That always keeps me thinking...is religion everything??...there is no value for your feelings?...your emotions?...what you want?...no value for love??...No one has to change their religious belief for love...love doesn't want you to change anything but instead it teaches you to respect each other beliefs as your own.

I'm sorry if i have gone off topic or did hurt someone's feelings...but lets face the fact that religion always teaches us how to love...and when we love, we are torn apart in its name...

some points i can't agree with if conversion keeps on going like this then ther might be one day when that religion itself might become extinct according to me if one is really in love then to what religon he/she belongs shouldn't matter and there should be no conversions if there is real love between them any how this is my point of view
