"Yeah Romit I am coming" arjun replied at the phone. "Okay hurry up." "I will if you let me. This is your third call in past ten minutes."

Arjun glanced at the mirror last time before leaving. Wearing black jeans, blue shirt and denim jacket he nodded in approval. Hair well spiked as usual, he loked hot and elegant as always. It was freshers party. This was the custom, fresher's nite after your first papers. Mid semester exams were over and it was time to party.

"Cant beleive arjun is late. He rarely does" romit complained to shefali. "And arohi too." "Where is she?" Shefali was about to answer when some sighs and giggles besides them drew their attention. Arjun had arrived at the party. Romit went up to meet him.

Shefali got a tap on her shoulder from Tina a second year senior. "Shefali, who is that with romit?" "Mam he is arjun." "First year?" asked tina not removing gaze from arjun. "Yeah mam." "How could it be? I mean we couldn't have missed a hottie like him at the introductory week." "Mam he was a month late." "Is he single? Will you introduce him to me?" tina inquired looking at shefali . Shefali 's jaw dropped in disbelief. She had a second year hottie as her boyfriend and she is hitting on a freshman.

"Hey arjun you are looking hot. Many seniors are interested too." Arjun shook his head in 'Do I care' expression. "Thanks shefali." "Where is arohi?" romit interrupted. "Yeah she is coming. Actually she hasn't been to parties so wardrobe crisis."

But their eyes narrowed watching romit's open mouth. Arjun followed romit's gaze and felt heat rising in surroundings. AC was switched off! No arohi was standing near entance looking around. Arjun felt mouth drying as his eyes moved lower on arohi. Arohi was one of the beauties of first year, arjun knew. But knee length black colured dress with long earings and smoky eyes was something arjun hadn't seen of arohi. Her lips in a light shade of pink made them world's most delicious strawberries. This sexy avatar of arohi left arjun flushed. Her smooth milky legs which everyone in this college had privilege of looking for first time was some sight. Arjun had seen many girls flaunting their legs at him but this was god's special creation. Everything of her was an art; god had spent a heck of time on her thought arjun. Arjun could see that many other boys and seniors were also drooling over her.

Shefali and arohi were stopped in their tracks by Jiya, the great first year bimbo. "Hey arohi looking good ." "Thanks Jiya." "By the way whose dress is this, shefali's or gauri's?" "Shut up jiya" shefali admonished. "Chill Shefali! I am just inquiring because scholarship doesn't covers expensive clothes like this or you shoplifted it. Orphanage children I think have torn and tacky clothes." Her friends around had a laugh at it. Arohi felt a lump. Why do people remind her of being an orphan? A broad figure came in between the scene. The familiarity of the voice made arohi know, it was arjun standing back towards her as if protecting her.

"Listen little Miss Jjiya whatever I don't give a shit. I don't hit girls otherwise there are many ways to teach you manners. But next time you came a yard around arohi I will do things you gonna regret. Because nobody messes with Arjun Singhania's friends and they are very impotantant to him. So bimbo like you dare hurt them." His eyes had a protective rage. Protective to arohi and rage for jiya and it silenced all.

Arohi moved out of party. "Allow me shefali" arjun said as he followed arohi. Shefali frowned. Maybe they will fight again and it distracts arohi. This thought made her chuckle.

Arjun looked around for arohi until he saw her standing a little away. He approached her and put a hand on her shoulder. She was crying silently. Arjun was confused what to do to make her feel good. Start a fight. Nah! Enough of it. What do they do in hindi movies. Hug her. But we aren't even on friendly terms yet. Putting aside these thought he went around and pulled her into an embrace. Suprisingly arohi didn't resist.

Arohi felt good in his arms. I shouldn't hug him. What am I doing? I mean' But his grip makes me feel safe. A soothing, warm, friendly hug was required and she was getting it. He isn't that bad as I thought.

"Arohi its okay you don't have to worry what those dumb people say about you. You have friends who love and care about you no matter what. They are'" "You will be one of those friend" arohi interrupted still in arjun's bear hug and face snuggled to his chest. Arjun pulled away and narrowed his gaze. "Miss Arohi sharma is asking of being friends." Arohi smiled. "Yeah. I mean you aren't that bad." "Bad? I am good, too good' In fact best." "See, again'" "Okay stop it. Friends?" arjun grinned. Arohi nodded smiling.

"Ahem ahem' Something changed" shefali commented in amazement watching arohi being escorted by arjun in the party. "So you both called ceasefire?" romit asked equally surprised at the sight. "Yeah for now. But how long don't know" arjun grinned. Arohi hit his hand smilling.

A voice drew everyone's attention. "Hey folks welcome to the party. Hope you all sober not sloshed. We seniors welcome you freshers to the college and congratulate on your successful', hope so successful exams. You all may not have the best experience with the seniors but all was in good sport so relax. Now we also have a game for you all. Every year we get our fresher's king and queen at the party. It will have three rounds. First we will select the particapants. There are two bowls containing some pieces of paper one for guys and other for gals. Everyone will pick one paper piece who will have a number matched with the one person from opposite sex deciding the pair. Unlucky ones will have no number. Best of luck guys." Claps and cheers filled the hall.

Arjun just prayed that he get any girl of whatever shape size but gauri. He gulped looking at gauri who was now sending him shy smile. But gauri's dream got shattered as no prizes for guessing whose number matched with arjun's.

"Okay folks lucky 25 couples have been selected. Now let's see how smart you really are. Yeah this round is about brains. We have 50 jugs right, 25 each of 5 gallons and 25 of 3 gallons. Now without using any external help you have to fill in 4 gallons in the bigger jug obviously. But remember it must be precise, we'll check. You have 180 seconds. Best of luck."

"I know it" arjun said after half a minute. "Me too" arohi gushed. "Okay shoot." "Fill 3 gallons water in 5 gallons jug." "Then fill 5 gallon again with water from 3 gallon jug." "1 gallon will be left in the smaller jug." "Empty the bigger jug." "Pour 1 gallon left in smaller jug into 5 gallon jug." "And get the 3 gallons from smaller jug." With each statement both approached each other in excitement and their lips were couple of inches apart from melting into one. Arjun was lost again in her brown eyes. Arohi snapped him out of his trance. "Hurry up."

"9 couples were successful in this round. And we now reach into final one. In this round we will see how well you can move. So burn the dance floor."

Arjun and arohi were crowned as the freshers king and queen. "You guys rocked." "Thanks Shefali" arohi hugged her. "You were awesome arjun" gauri threw her arms all over him. "Thanks" arjun said with a pained expression.

"Where are you?" arjun asked arohi on the phone. "We are coming to canteen." "Okay we are there." "You two can't leave each other for an hour even. Huh'" romit mocked. "Shut up romit." Three weeks had gone by after their ceasefire call. And it has been a rollercoaster ride.

Their nature to be dominating has made them click. They had their fights 1 big one which carried some pleasing expletives, 5 arguments and a wrestling match. No, 6 arguments if we consider whose pen is better as an argument. Yeah god knows what absurd and silly topic was not there for arguing. And wrestling match was for last piece of sandwich left in the canteen. Shefali had got a job before college, mediator and judge.

A girl tapped on the shoulder of arjun. "Arjun this is for you." "Thanks" arjun said taking the card from girl. "What's that?" romit asked as girl left. "Love greeting. 15^th since the morning. Dont know why?" Romit was about to reply when arjun's phone rang. He got up to attend it. Shefali and arohi reached there. "Hey romit where is arjun?" "Phone call."

"Hi gals" arjun greeted. "Whose call?" "Gauri's." Romit's eyes widened. "You told her your whereabouts?" "Hmm' Why?" "Because seniors organised a camping trip this weekend for couples only. All proposals since morning were for that. And you know why gauri'" Arjun felt sick. Every cell of his body was in state of extreme panic. Curse mikheal. "I am going into hiding. Tell her something came up." "Where are you hiding?" arohi asked. "To bathroom."

10 minutes later arjun felt secure after asking arohi about gauri through message. Looking around for any threat he headed back to the table to be dealt with a heavy blow. Gauri sat there looking at him lovingly. "Arjun feeling good" arohi asked winking at him. "Arjun you are fine? Arohi told me you had stomach upset." Arjun was fuming and darting death glares at arohi. And arohi was controlling her laughter with difficulty. She finds it amusing wondered arjun. After all its arohi. And stomach upset. Eww'

"Arjun baby I have a bad news." How does she knows me going with her is a bad news to me. "I won't be able to go to camping trip as I have to be at home during weekends."Arjun felt he has been handed a second life. This statement was music to his ears. Control arjun, be a little generous. "It's okay you have to go home I understand" arjun pouted. "No don't be upset, I will try to cancel it." "No'. No' it must be very important" arjun stammered in desperation.

"You mean you both aren't coming with us?" romit inquired after gauri left. "I mean you and arohi." "Romit how can we? We both are single." Arjun said. "I mean you both together as couple." Eveyone looked at romit as if he has lost his mind. "I mean' it's not necessary for you to be couple. You just have to go as pairs at the trip" romit clarified.

Arjun and arohi were glaring at each other with narrow gaze. Shefali was enjoying the drama. "Come please you will get bored in here at the weekends" she pleaded. Both arjun and arohi sighed. "We can do that."
