Pihu: I'm sorry I forgot to congratulate you. Happy birthday

He didn't answer and just nodded. She made a face and turned it to the side where she didn't have to face him. He wasn't exactly much of a company. After some more silent therapy she began again.

Pihu: You know it won't really hurt to change that expression once in a while (she spoke with tongue in cheek) atleast use some monosyllables to break this ice between us

He didn't seem interested and just stared at her in silence.

Pihu: I'm sure there is atleast something we could talk about (she saw it still didn't make any difference) How about if I start. You could begin by talking about this party for starters and then I could possibly continue commenting about the people.

Anurag: Is it your usual habit to chatter so much?

Pihu: (laughed) Ofcourse as it leaves minimal chances for communication later

Anurag: I see (he twirled her around twice and then pulled her against him again) Are you simply laying out your opinion or are you asking for mine too?

Pihu: shayad me dono chahtee hu (she moved along with the beat still in his arms) Agar aapko lagta hai ke humare beech me kuch bhi aisee baate hogee jo sabko party me sunai dejaaehgee to phir aap rehne hee dijye (she spoke in a mocking tone)

Anurag: (unhappy with her comment) It appears to be something you fear more than me

Again the silence between them returned as they continued dancing. It was sometime before he broke it.

Anurag: Do you often go window shopping with your sisters?

Pihu: Have you been keeping tabs on me? (she gave him the look but then when he didn't reply she just laughed) I'm sorry but yes me and my sisters love doing that. That day when you met us we sisters had gone but when we returned we made some new friends (on purpose she didn't say Rishab's name because she wanted him to feel bad about it)

Anurag: Rishab ka saubhav hee aisa hai ke jise milta hai oske saath dosti hojaatee hai per oske saubhav me aisa bhi hai ke wahi dost phir dushman banjaate hai

Pihu: (she tossed her head back as he turned her around again) I would say that he is far better off as not being your friend then suffering it for the rest of his life

Just then Mr. Gupta came and noticed the two together.

Mr. Gupta: I'd told you two before of how you'd look perfect with each other (Anurag and Pihu stopped dancing) you certainly have got yourself the prettiest fish out of the sea Mr. Juneja after your brother of course.

Pihu seemed disappointed and Anurag was also disturbed by his comment.

Mr. Gupta: I hope we'll be seeing this pair quite a lot now since the two set of twins look perfect together (winked and laughed) Perhaps in the most happening occasion next

He pointed towards Prem and Heer and Anurag became stiff and his nostrils flared. Pihu was a bit embarrassed by Gupta's comment.

Pihu:darasal aisa kuch bhi...

Mr. Gupta: (raised his hand) aah...don't tell me anything Pihu as I'm well aware of it. I wouldn't want to hold you guys here too long (saw the dance still continued) I'll let you continue with the dance and let you enjoy the rest of the party.

Both Pihu and Anurag were unhappy with Mr. Gupta and then at each other. She released her hand abruptly and turned to walk away from him. He was disappointed and followed her.

Pihu: If I remember correctly then you had told me that you hardly forgive anyone (saw he followed her so she turned towards him to face him) Ek baar jo ghalat saabit hogaya to bus wo ghalat hee hai. Doesn't that mean that you literally pick your favourites out of the bunch?

Anurag: to some extent that is the case

Pihu:Is it also not correct that you hardly take other people's opinions or advices to consideration? Dusro kee rai koi mayene hee nahi rakhti.

Anurag: Absolutely! May I ask where these questions are leading to?

Pihu: (scoffs) nothing much (folded arms across her chest) was just sketching your character traits that's all

Anurag: (came closer her) to phir kya pata lagaya aapne

Pihu: (startled by his sudden proximity so moved back a step) it appears to be almost impossible to decide on anything (she stared in his shining green orbs as his gaze lay on her) there are so many chapters to unfold that every time there is a makeover

He didn't say anything immediately and just stared at her as if he was memorising her beautiful features. There was a gradual music change in the background.

Anurag: I advice you don't picture anything for now Miss Pihu. It would be beneficiary for both of us.

Daljit passed by them and couldn't help but listen. She was not pleased to see Pihu with the arrogant Anurag.

Pihu:I'm afraid if now is not the right time then there never will be a right time

Anurag:If that is the case then my good wishes are with you.

He took her leave and both Daljit and Pihu gave him a scornful look behind his back.

Ananya joined her again after she saw Anurag leave.

Ananya: (teasing tone) Look's like someone is having a great time in this party. Gayee thi kiske saath or aayi kiske saath

Pihu: maza? Or wo bhi os kharoos ke saath? Never! I still can't understand why I agreed to dance with him in the first place, it was just so suffocating (saw Ananya just laughed at her eccentrics) just wait till you hear his true nature then you'll be forced to agree with me.

She narrated Rishab's story to her.

Ananya: aisa kese hosakta hai Pihu? Kya tumhe pura yakeen hai?

Pihu: Mere saamne sab kuch saaf hai Ananya (upset and angry) He himself told me that he never forgives anyone he disapproves of or thinks they are not worth his attention (grumphed) a hateful man indeed.

Ananya: Certainly there must be something collective about him that he chose you out of the whole party to dance with (showed concern) I'm sure there is more then you know Pihu and perhaps Anurag Juneja is not as bad as Rishab has portrayed him.

Pihu: I don't want to hear anything about that disagreeing man anymore. I don't want to do anything with him at all.

Meanwhile Heer sat alone on a table and Prem came with a plate of food.

Prem: yeh lijye, aapke liye garma garam khaana lekar aaya hu

Heer: Hey (surprised to see him) You had left me half an hour ago so I thought I'll just sit over here but you...

Prem: wo me (sat across her putting the plate down) I'm sorry but I got caught up with some business associates.

Heer: It's okay (smiled) you didn't have to go through so much to bring me food; I would have got it myself.

Prem: Not a problem at all (shook his head) Kabse aapko bhookh lagrahee thi or aapne mujhse kuch nahi kaha, per phir bhi maine aap ke dil kee baat sunli.

There was an eye locking session between them where Heer saw how innocent and loving Prem was. He had taken care of her little, little desires and wishes. Something which she always wanted.

Prem: ab aap khaana khalijye, warna thanda hojaaehga

Heer:aap nahi khaenge?

Prem:aap khaalengee to mera pait bhi bhar jaaehga

That was the sweetest thing a guy had ever said to her and she couldn't help but smile at her good fortune of finding a guy like Prem.

Later the cake was cut by the birthday boys and then everyone sat down to eat on the round tables provided. Prem sat down with all of Heer's sisters and he had a great time entertaining them with his poetry and them entertaining him with their witty jokes. Pihu excused herself to go to the washroom when she ran into Nupur.

Nupur: Hi Pihu, (mocked her) I've heard you've been making some new friends lately? One of of them in particular seems to be quite a close friend am I right? (Pihu made a cross face as she continued) I'm not really interested in your personal life Pihu but I would like to warn you about Rishab. He may seem all good and wonderful from the outside but in reality he is something else. First of all his status has always been so low and still today he is nothing but an ordinary police officer. You'd be surprised about his behaviour with Anurag and Prem.

Pihu: (sardonically) acha? Aakhir aisa kya kiya hai osne onke saath?

Nupur:He doesn't have any respect for others and has never respected Anurag or even Prem.

Pihu: Its quite amusing (sarcastic smile) how you talk about respecting others when you yourself put them down.

Nupur: Excuse me? (made a face at Pihu) As I said earlier that I'm not interested in your personal life but I felt it was important to let you know about this. Ab aage aap kee marzi.

She left from there. Pihu was upset and walked off inside the washroom and Heer noticed it and followed her.

Heer: kya huwa Pihu?

Pihu: wo Nupur apne aapko samjhti kya hai? Agar ose Anurag kee taraf daaree karnee hee hai to phir mujhe kyu aake batatee hai? It's none of her business about whom I meet or make friends with.

Heer: Calm down Pihu and listen to me carefully (she made sure no one else was in there) I discussed this matter with Prem and he also advised to stay away from Rishab. He is bad news.

Pihu: kya wo Rishab ko acchi tarhase jaante hai?

Heer: Not as well as Anurag does

Pihu:There you see. He is bound to only know what he has heard and that too all fabricated by Anurag Juneja (held her hand up) that's it Heer I just don't want anymore clarifications. What I've heard is enough for me to decide what is correct and what isn't.

Soon both of them left the room and then joined the others on the table again.

Veera: Hey Premji (insisted) please tell us one more of your poems

Prem:I'm sorry (politely) but I seemed to have ran out of words tonight and it seems awfully quiet (looked around) we need some music.

He was about to signal the DJ but before that Mauli grabed her sitar and went up the stage and began playing it. Pihu and Heer closed their eyes and didn't want her to embarrass them. They wished so much that she didn't begin singing and just then she began and her awful untuned voice filled the air surprising many and many even dispersed away. Pihu and Heer were terribly displeased. Prem just sat down not saying anything as he didn't want to hurt her. Just then Anurag arrived and so did Ritesh.

Heer:Oh no Pihu... (pointed towards the two men) Ritesh is just about to meet Anurag. Kya hum onhe roke nahi sakte?

They were too late as Ritesh was already conversing with Anurag

Ritesh: Mr. Anurag Juneja you won't believe how delighted I am to have finally made acquaintance with one of the nephews of the great Balraj Juneja.

Anurag gave him a confused look.

Ritesh:I believe it's my duty to inform you that I'd met your uncle six days ago and he was in perfect health as always.

Anurag:Thanks (not interested) but I didn't ask you.

Ritesh just gave his clown smile.

Anurag: (arrogantly) Who are you?

Ritesh: My name is Ritesh Basu and I....

Anurag was not interested at all and walked off leaving Ritesh standing there. He didn't really feel bad that Anurag left and just felt it was his right to do so. Pihu pouted with anger after seeing his behaviour and as he passed her she gave him the look.

Anurag went and stood near Nupur looking down upon Mauli and her foolish performance. Lalit had covered his eyes with his hand as he couldn't believe she was putting up a show like that. Then thankfully she finished and they all managed to give her a weak applause. She gave them a geeky smile and then to their horror she began again. Pihu's eyes became wide and she gestured Lalit to stop her before she put them down even further. He got up quickly and went by Mauli's side.

Lalit: Why don't you leave it for now beta? I believe others also deserve to show off their rather unusual talents.

She understood the understatement in that and she left the sitar and walked off with him. Seeing her like that made Pihu upset too.

Ritesh: If I would have been a master at music then I certainly would have set fire to the stage. Wese sangeet me aisee baat hee hai jo kisee ko bhi sikhaadetee hai.

He attempted to go for the sitar but the DJ got the cue and he took over quickly playing decent enjoyable music.

Daljit sat around with her group of friends.

DJ: (her boastful self) Isn't Ritesh Basu so smart and intelligent? Haven't met anyone like him. Ore maze kee baat yeh hai ke onhe hamaree Pihu pasand aagayee hai or hame nahi lagta osse behtar onhe koi milega

Pihu heard that and was appalled.

DJ:At first Ritesh had the intentions of marrying Heer but his bad luck as she is already booked for Prem Juneja...

Prem turned around with surprise at how Daljit was publicly displaying their relationship which hadn't been officially announced yet. How could she do that? Anurag also stared at Daljit and couldn't be more disappointed.

DJ: ...ab wo to accha rishta banega or shaadi bhi bari khoob hogi (laughed) that has just become beneficiary for the rest of the girls who would be pushed into the realms of other rich men.

She continued to cackle.

Pihu didn't know how to react but to feel like everything was over, their reputation, everything. And to make it worse Veera came running around with one of Rishab's friends chasing her. She had taken something of his and now was up to her old tricks. She ran across and over other people's tables creating a mess and now Pihu just wanted to bury herself in the ground. This was the tip of the iceberg. The evening had begun with a happy note and had ended in a disaster and her three foolish sisters were responsible for it.
