Chapter-5

PREM: Arre kul di aap? Andar aye na.

Kulraj comes in and sits on the sofa looking around. He gets her water.

KULRAJ: Prem heer kahaan hai?

PREM: Heer store gaye hai sabzi laane, bas aati hi hogi. Di aap kaise hain aur ghar mein sab?

KULRAJ: Prem kya tum nahin jaante sab kaisa hoga wahaan tumhare aane ke baad,

PREM: Di

KULRAJ: Nahin prem mein tumse kuch pooch nahin rahi hoon, mein toh sirf tumse milne aayi hoon jaane se pehle.

PREM: Jaa rahi hai par kahaan?

KULRAJ: Mein kiran ke saat Canada jaa rahi hoon.

PREM: Di aise

KULRAJ: Tu fikr mat kar kissi ne kuch nahin kaha, kiran ko kuch kaam hai isliye jaa rahe hain.

PREM: Teek hai.

They remain silent not knowing what to say to each other, finally breaking the silence

KULRAJ: Waise heer ne iss ghar ka naksha hi badal dala. Mujhe toh yakeen nahin hora yeh wahi ghar hai jisse pehli baar dekha.

PREM: (smiling) Haan mein bhi kaafi hairan hogaya tha,

KULRAJ: Mein toh bhool hi gayi, ek courier aya tha heer ke naam, (taking it out of her purse) yeh le.

Prem takes it and opens it. He gets a million dollar smile on his face going through the content of the letter. He hears the doorbell as soon as he finishes reading. Placing it on the table he rushes to the door. It was heer. Before she could ask him anything he hugs her and lifts her off the ground and spins her around.

HEER: Prem kya hua? Itne khush kyun ho?

Kulraaj clears her throat. Prem then realizes that kulraaj was also there, while heer sees kulraaj there. Prem puts her down.

HEER: Kul di aap? Aap kab aayi?

KULRAJ: Mein bas thodi der pehle aayi thi. Prem baat kya hai?

PREM: Di baat yeh hai ki heer ke designs select hogaye hain.

HEER: kya?

PREM: Haan

KULRAJ: Kya yeh wahi designs hai jis ke liye heer ne poore ghar ko apne sar ke bita diya tha,

PREM: (laughing) Haan di yeh wahi hai.

HEER: Di aap yeh kya kehrahi hain. Mein ne kya kiya tha?

KULRAJ, PREM: Kuch nahin kiya??????

HEER: Kiya hoga woh tension mein kabhi kabhi ho jaati hai. Aap dono baito mein chai banake laati hoon.

Kulraj and prem sit and recall the incident.

Flashback:

It was the time when they got married and returned after their vacation. Heer got the task of sending the designs to a fashion store abroad. She was quite tensed as it was her first ever work. She decided to work from home itself.

It was the time by which prem usually returned home from work, here heer was busy making designs and then tearing them off. He came in and saw her trying to sketch something. He looked around the room; it looked like a mini size trash can.

PREM: Heer yeh sab kya hai?

HEER: Prem tum dekh nahin sakte I'm working

PREM: Tum work karo ya kuch aur tumhe pata hai na how particular I'm when it comes to my room? Kya halat banadi hai tumne?

HEER: Prem please aaj kissi bhi kimat pe mujhe yeh complete karna hai, mujhe kaam karne do. Tum saaf karlona.

PREM: Heer'

HEER: Prem please.

Prem shakes his head and starts on his task of setting the room. He knew that when it comes to work heer was more particular than him. She didn't like anyone disturbing her. He managed to set the room clean and hoping that she wouldn't mess it again leaves for bath. He freshens and then goes to get dinner as he was sure that she wasn't going to get up. He goes into the kitchen to find kulraj and his mother busy arranging the things.

KULRAJ: Arre prem aagaya tu? Yeh lo mein ne khaana plate mein rakh di hai le jaa

PREM: Thank you di.

KULRAJ: Thanks kehne ki kya jaroorat hai. Waise aaj aakri din hai, kal se toh hume kitchen mein aane ke liye permission leni padegi.

PREM: Laughs teek hai mein jaa tha hoon. Subah bhi kuch nahin khaaya hoga na.

Kulraj shakes her head saying no. He quickly goes to his room to find it in mess again.

PREM: Hey bhagwaan. Heer mein tumhara kya karoon? Kuch hi der pehle toh mein ne sab kuch teek kiya aur tumne phir se.

HEER: (still doing her work) prem aaj akhri din hai na manage karlo.

PREM: Finally katam hojaayega. (Coming and sitting beside her on bed, keeping the tray on the table.) mein tak gaya hoon pichle ek hafte se yeh sab dekh dekh kar

Heer gives him a sad pout.

PREM: Ab tum mujhe aise mat dekho. Tumhe pata hai mein tumse kuch nahin keh paunga. Ab chalo khaana khao pehle.

HEER: Please five minutes.

PREM: Heer five minutes kehte kehte subah kardogi par khao gi nahin. Tum apna kaam karo mein khilata hoon.

HEER: How sweet!!

PREM: Tumhara time chal raha hai. karwalo jo bhi karana hai, mera bhi waqt aayega.

HEER: Teek hai dekhlenge.

He feeds her and then himself. After completing he gets back to his task of reviewing her work giving her suggestions and then finally she completes her work. He scans and then mails them.

HEER: Finally sab kuch katam hogaya.

End of flashback

Back to present

KULRAJ: Chalo saari mehnat ka phal toh mila.

HEER: (Getting the tea) Haan. Agar preet ko pata chalegi yeh baat toh

She then sees both prem and kuldi's face fall and mentally kicks herself for saying that.

PREM: Di aap ne preet ko meri ghar se nikhal neki baat nahi kiya na,

KULRAJ: Nahin jab tumne mujhse nahin batanae ko kaha toh mein kyun bataoungi usse par kab tak chupa paoge.

PREM: Di kum se kum uske exams katam hone tak toh usse nahin pata chalni chahiye,

KULRAJ: Teek hai. jaise teri marzi ab mein chalti hoon. tum dono apna khayal rakhna

HEER: Di kuch der aur rukh jayena

KULRAJ: Nahin bohut der hogaye hai, bache ma ko tang kar rahe honge.

PREM: Teek hai di. She hugs them both and leaves from there. Prem goes into the balcony and stands near the railing facing the moon. Heer comes and stands beside him.

HEER: Prem tum kunal ke saath gaye the na kya hua?

He tells her of their plan. She agrees to join them and then he tells her about loan plan and all.

HEER: Prem toh kya hua agar adha hi loan sanction hua hai toh ab humare pass toh paise hai na. Designs approve hone par amount toh mila hain na

PREM: Heer par woh tumhare ..

HEER: Prem, tumne mujhse kabhi waada kiya tha ki hum dono ke beech mera ya tumhara kabhi nahin hoga jo bhi hai humara hai. She leaves inside. Prem thinks for a while and then calls kunal.

PREM: Kunal hum kal se start kar sakte hain.

KUNAL: Par bakhi ka amount

PREM: Fikr mat karo intezaam hogaya.

KUNAL: Teek hai mein kal subah wahaan aata hoon.

Prem cuts the phone and goes inside to find her. She was in the kitchen.

PREM: Heer kuch baanane ki jaroorat nahin hai.

HEER: Agar tumhe bhook nahin lag rahi hai toh kya mujhe bhi bhook nahin lagegi. Mujhe bohut bhook lag rahi hai,

PREM: Heer mera matlab woh nahin tha. Hum bahar chalte hain khaana khaane,

HEER: Kis khushi mein

PREM: Hum dono ki khushiyon ko celebrate karne. Pehla tumhare designs ka select hona aur doosra humari nayi company ka shooruwat jo ho rahi hai kal.

HEER: Matlab tum maan gaye,

PREM: Meri itni himaat ki mein tumhari kahi huyi baat ko taal sakun,

Heer hits him saying prem.

HEER: Arre humne toh angad bhaiya ko bataya hi nahin.

PREM: Ek kaam karte hain, unhe restaurant bhulalete hain, waheen batadenge.

HEER: Teek hai.
