Ok I have got to get this out of my system. So here goes. According to me the 1st May was almost a perfect episode. No it wasn't perfect but almost. Almost because I still miss THE PREM (sorry guys he's still dead for me because till they don't retract his stand on his behaviour in wed's episode I can't identify with him) who still has not been resurrected. But apart from that it was perfect. The episode was a perfect blend of emotion, drama, comedy and romance. For once all the actors in the episode had something worthwhile to do or say including darling Tannu and Maya's new maid. They were not used as mere props or as part of the decor.
Every department was at their best. Be it lighting, camera, dialogues, editing or direction everybody was bang on.
The episode starts with The Guy thinking of what Heer told him and is interrupted by the loving Preet who gently tries to make him understand that whatever he's doing is wrong. But the guy gave a heart wrenching reason for his action there by justifying everything. But the only thing that made perfect sense in the end was what Preet says about Gaya3 not knowing whether she's right or wrong. The way it was picturised was brilliant. Esp this shot. I don't know if the director was using symbolism here but the stark contrast is too obvious to ignore. See how Preet in all white is standing up for the right and how the guy, who somewhere knows that he's wrong, is in all black. I thought this was a brilliant piece of camera work.

Scene shifts to Veera and Maya, who are exercising (either these two girls have never had any workouts or the director needs to take lessons in proper workouts) and are talking about the house being empty without Heer and Meher. And how Meher helped them by eating all oily food. This whole scene did nothing much for the story but wasn't too out of place. It just showed the vamps gloating over their victory and also introduced the new maid who may or may not be seen in future.
Cut to the cutest segment in the whole episode. Preet is right Kulraj is a sweetheart. Her worries and concern about the house was heartfelt. All of them looked so comfortable sitting and chatting like some gal pals out on lunch. Wonder what little Tannu was smiling about here.
But she just fits so comfortably on Heer's lap. And how cute do they look smiling.
The most awwwwwwwwww moment was when Tannu talks to Heer about the guy's suffering. How endearing was she? I just wanted to hug Tannu. Isn't she the sweetest? For once they didn't waste the child by showing it run around mindlessly. Another very good scene and very well directed.
Ahhhhhhhhhh! Preet!! Is it me or does he seem to be the only sanest person around these days? I love the fact that he hasn't given up on anything. How he absolutely believes he's on the right path irrespective of the fact that his sister's had a miscarriage. He has only one goal in mind his brother's happiness. I am so happy that the creatives have so far not butchered his character (hope and pray they never do). Look at this smile. Just look at it. Doesn't it make you feel that sooner or later everything will be alright.
I loved the way they showed him playing with the Guy's head. He knows how to manipulate his brother and knows his pulse. But what was most adorable was the way he tells Meher he misses her. Awwwwwww how cute. Estee was right he's one of us. He represents us. Go Preet! You rock.
The Meher and Preet conversation was good but what I liked was the Meher and Nihaal conversation. I have always felt Vaishali and Mahesh (Meher and Nihaal) failed to emote very well. But they were very good in the whole scene. Nihaal all matter of fact and Meher all scared and panicky at being almost caught. Vaishali got all her scenes right. Her expressions esp when she sees the guy in the car outside the window was perfect. I found a lot of the old Meher in her in this episode.
And now the finale. Then entire sequence right from the guy waking up to Heer in shock was brilliantly executed. The background score, the lines, the expressions everything was top class. Bang on.
Now coming to the actors. For once everyone was tuned in. To say that HC and AG were brilliant would be stating the obvious. I think we need to coin some new words to describe their performances. They have gone beyond brilliant, superb, fantastic, fabulous, don't you think? SR was again at his best. This guy needs to be given more scenes. Creatives don't waste him. Nidhi, Mahesh and Vaishali did their bits very well esp the latter two. Krystle and Madhura were adequate. But the cutest was lil Tannu (does anybody know the child's real name?). Oh she's adorable. I want to see a scene where she gives the Guy the smiley that Heer gave her. I so want to see it.
The cameramen love HC, don't they? I mean how much more can you do to make an already handsome guy look more handsome and desirable. Look at this can HC look more good than this (i am sure he can)?
I know HC and AG's fav colour is white but guys black is your colour. You both look very very hot in black. I always felt AG's good looking and at times beautiful but in this episode she was super sexy. That black and red combo makes her look super hot. Must say Angad (alekh of Bidaai) was right when he said Heer looks more romantic after marriage. She really does.
Don't know what next week has instore for us. But this was one of the best episodes of the show in a very long time. Don't know what the creatives have planned, but I don't have any expectations from them. But I would like to challenge the creatives, Come on guys go ahead surprise us. We challenge you give us an out of this world track without breaking up the lead pair.
Thank you khushi for the wonderful caps.
