i just came across an article in the newspaper about the top 10 programs on tv. it says over the past week the indian couch potato has been battling depression, the dispute between the film and television producers guild and the federation of cine workers over increased wages has meant the blackout of television shows across all entertainment channels. all this has hit the viewer very hard---- a sas bahu soap lover in mumbai has reportedly even given up on food while another is offering prayers at varios temples everyday!
t2 lists the 10 most popular shows that the viewer has been forced to do without.
1: balika vadhu(colors)
2: bidaai (star plus)
3: jai shri krishna(colors)
4: raja ki aayegi baraat(star plus)
5: kasmh se(zee t.v)
6: kis des mein hai mera dil (star plus)
7: nach baliye 4(star plus)
8: maayka(zee t.v)
9: indian idol4(sony)
10: sa re ga ma pa (zee t.v)
(there was also a special segment on each one of the programs.i'm quoting the one on kdmhmd)
"colors may have taken some of the sheen off it's armour, but star plus still boasts of some of the most popular shows on indian television. Ekta Kapoor's kis des mein hai mera dil is particularly popular among young people, if the fan groups on facebook and orkut are anything to go by. a family drama centered on prem-heer love story, kdmhmd recorded a tvr of 2.38 on tam charts for week ending november 1.
viewer speak:" kis des...... has a believable storyline and the characters seem like the people we would meet in our daily lives. i hope the strike lifts soon because thats the only show i watch on television," says marketting professional sanjukta banerjee."
all for ekta and her silly tactics. if she would have let premeer get married we could have seen kdmhmd at no.1 or 2. thanks to her.
bt people if you are reading this then grow some brains and bring prem back. we promise you kis des will rock at no.1
