Ask Ekta Sharma who's the best actor on TV and pat comes the reply— "My jeeju (Mohnish Behl) of course." Ekta's elder sister Aarti (who played the lead in Dev Anand's film a few years ago) is married to Mohnish.

And now there's an interesting name twist here! Aarti's screen name was Ekta, given by Devsaab . "Actually it so happened that Devsaab liked my name and gave it to my sister. I was quite young then," recounts Ekta, who's currently seen in the TV show Solhah Singaar on SaharaOne. She's also acted in shows like Kkusum, Kamini Damini among others and done cameos in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil and Khwaish .

Ekta started her TV career with the comedy show Daddy Samjha Karo , but over the years she's been doing serious roles, both positive and negative. "I'm looking forward to doing some comedy shows now," she says. The actress is glad her character in the forthcoming serial Maa gives her scope for some comedy. "It's a negative role, but has a comic touch to it," she reveals.
