In Islam, after a husband dies, the widow has to be in a period of iddat for 4 months, or if she's pregnant, until the baby is born. then why isn't afreen in iddat? She's not even supposed to leave the house, unless really needed. And you can't marry someone else until ur out of ur iddat. I mean, i know that we can't expect the serial to follow each and every rule of Islam, but they can atleast follow the major rules.

no, if ur pregnant, the period of iddat is supposed to be until the baby is born, so i don't know why they kept it out of the picture. How is she supposed to marry someone else if she isn't out of her iddat yet 😕 😕

Hi All,

you're slightly wrong about the iddat period. iddat is only there for divorced ladies, not pregnant.

Take care

iddat is not only for divorced, it's also for widows. It's not the fact that she's pregnant, it's the fact that she's a widow!!! because she's a widow and she's pregnant, she should be in iddat until her child is born.

I'm pretty sure i'm not wrong b/c my teacher, who is an aalima, told me. It was also in my islamic studies book, which i don't think is wrong either.

Get used to Ekta's serial - all her lead pairs get married again and again without getting divorce or divorce period. They are married to one person one day and married to another next day.

Good thing is she treats all religions same way😆

It will be after a year of serial that Afreen will have baby. Before that so much will happen....may be Azaan and Afreen will celebrate their first marriage anniversary before baby is born 😆

And I am sure as soon as baby is born and Azaan and Afreen come closer Kabir will re-appear after all his "Ghostly talks".

So be prepared for all the surprises....

hi
here is link for commencement of iddat

http://islam.tc/ask-imam/view.php?q=3037

4. The 'iddah of a pregnant woman is up to the time of delivery or miscarriage (only if the limbs of the embryo had formed) whether the 'iddah is due to death, divorce or any form of separation. The four months and ten days must not be reckoned in this instance.

well this is drama anything can happen
