Hi guys😊,

I really enjoy watching KK here in the Uk when ever I can,and have picked up some great recipes and tips. However I really need help on an item mentioned on a recent programme.

It was something called 'deggi mirch',which I assume is different to ordinary red chilli powder,(which was also used).Could someone please explain what this is.

Many thanx😊 .

Ps.,the recipes posted on here are delish too...keep up the good work👏

I am not too sure either. You could PM indianman, since he is a chef. He could explain it to you. 😃

Here i found something on the net

:
Deggi Mirch is a unique blend of Indian red chillies that imparts an attractive, natural red colour to dishes.

For best results, fry sliced onions in oil until golden. Add chopped tomatoes and Deggi mirch and stir until well-mixed with an even red colour. If you are not using tomatoes, reduce the heat, and stir in the Deggi Mirch until the onions are an even red colour. Then proceed to cook your dish as normal.
