Ruslaan to marry on V-Day

This Valentines Day is a special one for Ruslaan Mumtaz,as the TV actor is all set to tie the knot with his fiance Nirali Mehta on that day.Their court marriage is on February 14,which will be followed by a traditional ceremony on March 2.Ruslaan says,We were asked what date we wanted,and we thought why not Valentines Day Since we anyway celebrate that day,we wanted our official wedding date to be February 14.
Sharing his wedding plans,the actor says,I wasnt keen on traditional rituals my parents had a court wedding.We actors get to enact grand weddings on screen,so for us,its not a big deal.But Nirali is a Gujarati and she wanted a traditional wedding and to dress up as a bride,so we are doing a wedding ceremony as well.
Ruslaan has recently shot a wedding sequence for his show Kehta Hai Dil Jee Le Zara,and the experience,he says,is going to come in handy for his real-life wedding as well.People were making fun of me on the sets,saying this is your practice session.Im busy shooting 29 days a month,so I have no time at all to be involved in the wedding preparations.Food is my department and I am deciding the menu,thats it, says Ruslaan,adding,The feeling that Ill be married in a few days,has not sunk in yet.
His mother,actress Anjana Mumtaz,is more excited about the wedding preparations.She says,Im very excited.Ek hi toh beta hai hamara.Toh shaadi ki taiyyari kaafi zor shor se chal rahi hai.A year ago,Ruslaan told us that he wanted to get married and introduced us to Nirali.As Nirali wanted a Gujarati wedding,we are following her wishes.We are not hosting a big reception because theres no time Ruslaan is busy shooting and right after the wedding,they are going to leave for their honeymoon in Maldives.But well have an elaborate sangeet,and we are going to invite everybody for that.The main wedding will only have close friends and relatives in attendance.
