Justification of The Slap...

Well, at first I really thought the slap was uncalled for BUT in retrospect, here's why I now think it is justified.

Here's a man (milsi) who is seeing his friend (prachi) being treated disrespectfully by her fiance on many an occasion. First time, u watch from the sidelines. 2nd time, u decide such behaviour is unfair and unwarranted considering the kind of girl prachi is. Third time, u decide to take the matter in your own hands. (that is, not counting the no. of times neev and prachi have "fought/argued")

So, there you go, from Milind's point of view he's just standing up for a friend and defending her seeing how helpless she appears to be. Considering that he's also in love with his friend, his protective instincts and latent feelings for her are bound to cloud his judgement. either way, one can tell he acted purely on instinct and it surely was an act of impulsion.

having said that, the slap could have been made redundant.

She's his friend and he loves her. But do you remember the other day when Neev yelled at Ayesha after he deliberately spilled the soup on Mils?

Why didn't Mils pull him up then? After all, he is Ayesha's friend and fiance....supposedly deeply in love with her. But, he didn't say a word. None of us had an issue with that. Infact no one even brought it up as we all had a jolly laugh over it!

In this case, I agree with u to a certain extent...he loves her and is feeling guilty. Thus the chanta.
I feel 3 thappads were too much....heck I think even one was bad.....he could have just held Neev by the collar which he did anyway.

Having said that, I think Neev expected something like this to happen....the smile said it all, for me.

Well, i cant remember if milsi was in the scene when neev yelled at ayesha for spilling the soup. But that "yelling" wasnt the same as the fake fight between neev and prachi. This outburst was meant to demean or condesend prachi in a way to instigate milsi to react. so i guess yesterday's outburst instigated a reaction whereas neev's few harsh words to ayesha's carelessness wasnt that loud nor meant to solicit a reaction from milsi. In fact, reason why they probably didnt show milsi taking up for ayesha in the first place could be because they've gotta show milsi's waning interest in ayesha and new-found/resurrected feelings for prachi.

And like i said, milsi didnt react violently the first time. nontheless, milsi slapping neev caught me off guard, like most of you, and i totally agree and said it was redundant and he could have espressed his anger in another way.

But knowing milsi and his penchant for raising his hand every time he's outraged, this sorta seems like a normal reaction for him. Besides, it would be nice if they show milsi regret slapping neev.. altho im not to sure they will..
