I used to hate it and frequently checked my face in the mirror to see whether it was really growing longer! Anyway I found a way to overcome my problem. Since I did'nt like being laughed at by others, I always try pulling my own leg, making fun of myself. That way I get people to laugh with me rather than at me. Soon that nick name left me.

Coming to funny incidents, I used to be a voracious reader of story books during class hours at school. Once I was absorbed in the investigative skills of Nancy Drew which was lying on my lap when suddenly I thought I heard my teacher ask the class "Who started the reformation movement?" The entire class fell silent. I felt compelled to say something so that the teacher does not realise what I was doing. I just blurted out Martin Luther. After I uttered the words, I cursed myself for I was not even sure of the question let alone the answer. I need'nt have said anything because she did not ask me in particular but the entire class. Before I could gather my senses, I heard my teacher say "Good". Another dreamer like me in the class missed out on all this and asked the teacher who gave the correct answer and my teacher looked at me and said "who else but ------- for she is the only girl who is attentive in class". My friend who was seated next to me nearly fell of the chair laughing at my teacher's remark for I would have been the last one to be attentive, with a Nancy Drew/Alfred Hitchcock or an Agatha Christie permaently lodged on her lap! My teacher never realised how well I fooled her throughout that year!

Opti...i can't believe we have more in common than i would have realized...i did the same thing.....(Exact same thing in school) but it was during my english class.....And the book was ..nancy drew!!!😆

I was big fan of Famous Five, Secret Seven, Hardy boys and Agatha Christie....😆
