Are you celebrating Valentine's Day?
In a way, yes. I feel it's a day that gives you a chance to be more romantic, rather extra romantic!

Your husband actor-filmmaker Vishwaas Paandya and you have been married past two years. How different is Valentine's Day before and after marriage?
Before we got married I'd always think I hope this is the man I will spend the rest of my life with. Now that we are married I know he's mine forever. Last year was my first Valentine's Day after marriage and it was wonderful.

What's your plan today?
I'm shooting till almost 9 pm. After that we plan to go for a quiet dinner.

You think this day has got very commercialised?
Yes, to an extent. There are people who focus very much on this particular day. So you have companies and hotels cashing in on it.

Romance flies out of the window, they say, after marriage.
I don't agree. It's the other way round. Marriage gives you the feeling that you don't need to have a best friend. Your spouse can be your true and best friend.

Does one have to put in a lot of effort to keep the romance alive?
Not really. It depends on how you feel. Of course communication is most essential. It's important to express your feelings.

How did Vishwaas and you meet?
That was five years ago. I was shooting for Koshish Ek Aasha . Vishwaas came to meet my director Anurag Basu. I went up to him and told him I loved his show Sparsh . His character in the show was called Vishwaas. We chatted, he took my number. After that we kept in touch and here we are today. (smiles)
