The new promo shows a tussle between the white Milsi and black Milsi, Milsi's conscience. We do not know who will be shown to win. Anyway this is my wish as to how the story has to play out from now on.
Milsi is presented with all the evidence: orphanage record, hospital record, Kamini and perhaps the DNA test. All the fingers are pointing at Prachi being the mother of Ritwik. The black Milsi is asking him to see the evidence for himself and decide. His wife indeed has played the biggest trick of this century by fooling him into believing she loves him and when he accepted her she has thrust her lovechild through Neev on him. She needs to be sent away with the baby. There is no place for fraud in his house. No one, not even Prachi can think of getting away with such a thing. He should give her a divorce at the earliest and forget he even met her.
As the black Milsi keeps instigating him, Milsi hears the white Milsi spring to his wife's defence. Does he really, in the heart of hearts, believe that Prachi, whom he loves and trusts more than himself, could do such a thing. Could she have betrayed his trust?
- Was she not the one to fulfill his every need even before he had thought of it.
-Was she not the one who lost her sleep to take care of him when he was wounded?
-Was she not the one who silently bore all his malice and vicious taunts without retaliation.
-Was she not the one to make him give up his drinking for his health even at the cost of earning his wrath?
-Was she not the one who came looking for him in the rains the day after he nearly raped her and instilled so much fear in her?
-Was she not the one who brought home his father and took care of him as her own?
-Was she not the one who prevented his sister from committing the biggest mistake of her life by marrying Saket in secret?
- Was she not the one who brought his chawl friends for the Janmashtami celebrations even without him mentioning how much he wanted to be with them?
-Was she not the one to spring to his defence when the snooty friends of Niharika made fun of his table manners?
-Was she not the one who admonished her own brother in defence of his family?
-Was she not the one to rush to the help of her sister who despised, disgraced and avenged her, taking everything she had, including her love?
-Was she not the one who felt guilty for taking away the only person her sister loved ?
She returned hate with love, ridicule with concern, rudeness with kindness. Can all that be just an act? Is it even possible for someone like Prachi to act all their lives?
Milsi is thoroughly confused, white Milsi has a lot of valid arguments to support Prachi. But why did Prachi lie about the baby? What could be the reason? Milsi decides he will ask Prachi herself. So he goes to her, sits opposite her and places his hands on both her knees. Looking deeply into her eyes he speaks to her in a quiet voice.
- Prachi what I am about to ask you is not to hurt you. It is'nt that I dont trust you. It is'nt that I am accusing you. All I want to know is the truth. These past few days have been hell for me. On the one hand there is overwhelming evidence that Ritwik is your child. On the other hand there is you, the pure, simple and loving girl (woman) I fell in love with. One who gave me so much love and happiness in my life that I never knew was possible, especially after I had my heart broken. One who had given a meaning for my existence. One who could not have done such a cheap thing as to have somebody's baby, hide it in an orphange for so long and bring it home after ensuring that her husband will not object to it sicne he has fallen in love with her. It is so unlike you Prachi to do such a demaning act, I cannot digest it. But I know you are hiding something from me. If you respect and honour our relationship, you will have to come clean with the truth. I can take it, however bitter it will be, because I am sure you are doing this to spare me the pain.
As Milsi is speaking, tears roll down the cheeks of Prachi. By the time he had finished she is sobbing uncontrollably. He lifts her face and asks her silently just raising his eyebrows. She then haltingly tells him
- I wish I could tell you the truth Milind but the truth is not mine to reveal. But I love you with all my heart. I dont want to see you hurt. I dont want to see you in pain. If my presence here is hurting you, I will leave with Ritwik. Your happiness and peace is all I want.
So saying she gets up to leave. Milsi holds her and forces her back. Then in a firm voice he says
-You are going nowhere. Tomorrow be ready by 9 o'clock. We are going somewhere together.
Prachi looks confused, but nods silently.
The next morning they leave in their car. They reach the orphanage. As the car halted, Prachi's eyes widen in surprise. She asks Milsi as to what were they doing there. Milsi tells her that he has brought her here to make what is hers as his. She looks confused but he just pulls her towards the orphanage.
There they meet the priest who let Ayesha escape with the record. After the initial introductions Milsi tells Father that they have come to formerly adopt Ritwik. Father looks surprised. He informs him that Prachi has already adopted him. Now it is Milsi's turn to look surprised.
Father then looks inquiringly at Prachi. Before she can intervene to stop him from telling anything more, Father spills the beans. He tells Milsi about how Alaap came looking to find Suki's secret. How Suki's married life was at stake and how Prachi hurriedly completed the adoption formalities and took away Ritwik. Milsi is even more confused. He asks Father why Suki's marraige should be at stake and what is the connection with Ritwik. Father is puzzled that Milsi should ask such a question. He tells him because if her husband comes to know that Ritwik is her baby, he may break their relationship. That is why Prachi put her own name in the register to protect Ritwik from Alaap and ensure Suki has another chance at happiness.
He concludes that he is indeed lucky to have a wife like Prachi whose concern for her sis-in-law outweighs concerns over her own reputation. It is hard to find girls like her in these days of materialism and greed. Milsi by now is dumbfounded. He thanks the Father absent mindedly and comes out, all the while staring at his wife incredulously.
Once they are back in their car he asks her why she did not tell him anything. After he got over his initial shock he gets livid with anger. He aks her how she could keep such a big secret involving his sister away from him. Is he not entitled to know what is happening in his sister's life? How could she put him through the mental agony he suffered wondering why his wife is telling lies? How could she risk losing him to protect her secret? Does he not mean anything to her. Does she not love him enough to hold on to him. Before he could continue further she seals his lips with hers. Now it is his turn to look baffled, exhilarated and relieved that the drama of the last few days has ended on a happy note. After smiling at each other, Milsi finally starts his car and heads home with his lovely wife, his heart filled with love, joy and happiness.
Oh yes, Ayesha is waiting there in anticipation of her plan succeeding this time. We will get to her story another day.
So long guys. Hope that cheered up all the Michi fans. Dont beat me up if the BT guys dont think like me.
