Last night was the first episode since the leap that I truly loved and enjoyed to the fullest. It had everything I would have hoped for and more. It showed the strength of Michi love and its triumph - well not as yet - but it is headed that way no doubt. And this time around the person who is ensuring that Michi will win at the end is Milind. Take a bow Mr.Milind MishraI am really really really proud of you. You are indeed the best pati in the world.
Many had problems with Prachi's dialogues yesterday but I didn't. In fact for the first time she made more sense yesterday than she did during the whole of the leap. May be she is better at speaking more convincingly when she is in the presence of her husband than when she is in the contemplative mood for what she said came from her heart. Yes, she has made a mistake in leaving her husband but she thought it is for his own good. She had a morbid fear that Mallika will have him imprisoned for life or worse kill him if she doesn't leave him. She was a confused soul when she boarded that train not knowing what she would do with her life. She has never been shown to be very bright when it comes to making long term plans. All her actions have always been knee jerk reactions to the problems at hand. She never thinks through the consequences. After the bomb blast, circumstances pushed her to live with the Dasguptas. (Okay I am not too convinced by these so-called circumstances but that is BT world, no logic anywhere right from the PIM track onwards. So it is pointless to look for one now).
Now that she is a mother to two small boys, she has come to realise that all her sacrifices were a waste because the man for whom she has done it all has not moved on an inch in life. She had unfortunately underestimated her own importance in his life. She had underestimated the depth of his love for her. She thought only she was capable of loving one man for life, little realising that her husband lives and breathes for her alone and can never be with another woman. She has been his strength. Without her he is nothing. Now she has realised the magnitude of the problem she has brought on herself. Unfortunately she is still blinded by this sense of duty towards the family, more importantly towards her children she is unable to extricate herself from this situation. I have to give it to her for showing some improvement from the secretive Prachi to at least confiding in Milind the entire truth including the fact that Sumonto is his son.
Coming to Milind, words fail me to describe this gem of a husband. Milind always says that he does not know what he did to deserve a wife like Prachi. I would like to say that it is Prachi's fortune to have got a husband who is totally in love with her and is not ashamed to display it in every way possible. Love is not just romancing when the times are good. It is to stand by the person you love when he/she is confused or misguided in his/her priorities. It is understanding the other person's weaknesses and still loving him/her. It is forgiving his/her follies and accepting him/her with all his/her flaws. It is to trust in the goodness of the person you love. So far we have seen Prachi do all this and more. This track is showing us what Milind is capable of when it comes to fighting for his love.
Despite all that Prachi has subjected him to in the past five and a half years, this man is willing to forgive her and accept her with all her flaws. He is willing to forgive her for keeping his son away from him for five years. He is willing to wait to get back his Prachi after exorcising the ghost of Panchi from her. He is willing to make her realise where her duty lies. He wants her back but he does not want to force himself on her. He is, however, not one to patiently wait for the transformation. He is a man of action. He will ensure that he gets his way in a manner which will only heighten the respect for their love.
Oh, I simply loved the father-son moment and had genuine tears of happiness when I saw an emotionally overwhelmed Milind watch over his sleeping son, recollecting better times with his wife.
All in all, a fantastic emotionally charged episode after a long long time. A fitting first anniversary of the c-night.
