I joined KYM forum on the first day that Kayamath aired its first episode. I've been here since Feb 2007. I've seen many things change here. First it was the shaky beginning of two newcomers, then people falling in love with the two jodis and then people angry and depressed that their jodi separated and at the same time some were excited with the making of the new couples. A lot of new members came in at that point and KYM forum rocked like never before. It was simply the best time for the show and for the forum. I made loads of friends who are now very dear to me. We had a blast for so long. But for the past few months the forum has gone step by step from bad to worse.
I once was proud to be part of this forum. This really was the friendliest place in all of IF. There were no bars on who could say what and everyone was welcome and appreciated. There was a lot (A LOT) of tolerance by all the members in the forum. Where is that tolerance now?
I understand that majority are angry at whats happening to the show but does being angry make it ok for you to be rude to others. It is when we are going through emotional downs that we should be more careful that in our anger or sadness we don't over react to things (which we are likely to do).
My request is only this, Please give me my friendly forum back. We all may disagree on several issues or maybe on all issues...but thats our diversity...we should celebrate that diversity instead of shooting down every opinion that doesn't agree with the popular opinion. If someone says something rude, its not at all necessary to reply to that post in the same vein. Report the post that you find offensive instead of creating a fight in that thread. Ask the mods to close the topics that are created only to insitgate. Please be responsible for you own language because even though we are all free to state our minds and express our opinions, as fellow fans of Kayamath and as civilized humans we should be considerate not to hurt other's feelings. Just like we will be hurt if someone says something against an actor/character that we like, we should keep in mind that when we criticize our language doesn't make it sound like bashing.
Thats all i wanted to tell everyone.
I hope you guys will also appreciate what this forum once was and try to get back to that level of openess and tolerance.
