It will be such a shame to dismiss Adiraj Pradhan as another sunshine character by Mishkat Varma. Even though none of his previous characters were fully sunshine except Kabir, it is mandatory to highlight that Adiraj is going to be one of the most complex characters he will be playing.
How do I claim this?
Well, Adiraj's phone conversation with his father gave away some significant hints of his hidden shades. I love how Mishkat is taking care of the intricate details of his character. Thanks to the writing, he is well aware that Adi is sunshine only on the surface.
He uses his laid-back attitude, his smile, and his flirty demeanor just to hide the storm inside him, the inner child that longs for his mother, and a distant hope of getting eventually connected to his mother by following her unfulfilled dream.
Currently, he is acting as the silent rebel. But Kavya's strength, focus, and not backing down attitude will inspire him to unleash his inner storm with full force. His goal of becoming an IAS may not be motivated by an ambition to establish an ideal society like Kavya. But what I feel as of now is that he will eventually come to adopt this path.
