KBC News - Play KBC in SRK language |
We bring you the new lingo that's doing the rounds thanks to SRK As the host of KBC, Shah Rukh has decided to bring all the languages of India to the KBC sets. So whether you are from Haryana or Hyderabad, Khan plans to give you a taste of your home on the Hot Seat. King Khan interacts with contestants When Prasenjit Sarkar joined King Khan on the Hot Seat, he requested SRK to sing a Bengali song that he had heard him sing for Devdas. Since Shah Rukh couldn't remember it in its entirety at that time he charmed all his Bengali brothers by saying another Bengali poem instead. Khan also asked Prasenjit Sarkar if he could call his wife as boudi (sister-in law in Bangla) thereby charming his way into everyone's hearts. On the Republic Day special episode SRK was seated opposite Vinayak Karan from Hyderabad. Speaking about his mother who too was from Hyderabad he explained to Vinayak in Hyderabadi to play Halu Halu (slowly slowly). Nicknames Khan insists that he wants to put all his contestants at ease and therefore comes up with nicknames for most of them. He feels it allows them to relax and feel like they are playing with just a friend thereby forgetting about the stress of winning and doing well. First one to get a nick from SRK was Guggila whom SRK decided he would call Guggi MBBS or Gugs on the show. He even went a step further and called Guggi's fellow companion as Venky. Thereon there have been many contestants for whom Khan derived pet names to get them comfortable like Padmaja became Padma. And it's not just the contestants who get nicknames but also Mr. Computer who is Computer tau (uncle) for Mohit from Haryana and for Vishal Malyvia from Vapi, Gujarat it's Computer bhai (brother). Padmaja referred to him as Computer bhau (brother). SRK's Lingo With his interesting and innovative catch phrases like Freeze Kiya Jaye for selecting the final answer to Shahrukh main aapko gale lagana chahta hoon if the contestant wants to leave the game or Kucha kucha pukka pukka if he is unsure, SRK is about to start another trend – only this time it's a hit with all age groups!
