Typical? is it typical to coerce a pregnant woman who was about to marry her lover to marry you instead by making it the only way to free her lover from prison (where he was wrongfully put to begin with)
i'm not sure how to get over that extremely despicable act!!
Survivors who experience "hostage" like situations exhibit something known as stockholm syndrome where they start believing their captor to be their caretaker - and the captor too once having accomplished his/her goal of taking the victim "hostage" tries to behave in a benevolent manner. Do you know these women reach a breaking point and it is so difficult for any sort of therapy to bring them back to who they once were?
We see a lot of situations in our organization where the women seem from the outside to get all the possible comfort and materialistic needs a person could want ..but the very premise of their happiness has been snatched away!
Please don't call such marriage situations typical - take it from someone who spends half my day with women who are in such horrible domestic situations!
