She’s investing more in her web series and ALT shows. It’s painfully obvious if you compare the costume designs AND the writing 😆 she’s really stopped caring about her TV shows.

Probably, Ekta doesn't micro manage all the aspects of this or any other Show. Hence, it is probable that the costume and make-up department of the Show is not as efficient.

Probability the finance department has not not able to allocate the budget optimally across all the aspects of the making of the reboot, hence the costume and make-up department had to resort to cheap costumes and less effective make-up artists.

Agreed that she should fire the current writers and creatives and have some really talented ones on board. But for that to happen, firstly, she herself should be determined to stick to one fanbase and let go of the other, whichever it may be. As long as she wants to retain both the fandoms, even the writers and creatives will not be able to do anything.

Given the convoluted mess of incoherence and lack of logic this Show has become, it is difficult to believe that it is her dream project.

It’s not that Ekta doesn’t have money, but i would guess it seems the money she spends which is an expense for her isn’t matched by the revenues. When a venture isn’t profitable as projected the first thing you do is cut or freeze expenses, which is what EK seems to be doing. So you can see the shabby state of Basu Badi, ANU’s OUTFITS (🤮) the poor writing to keep everyone under the same roof, etc.

Coming to Erica’s look, they def want to play into the ‘upper crust’ but modern trophy wife look, which is why she has those yucky hairdos and the printed saris. They should have kept Erica in her anarkalis or given her more classy but body shaping outfits, which bring out her natural slender silhouette.

Erica’s makeup has gotten loads better, I do agree she used to go for the foundations that washed her out, but she seems to be embracing her skin tone and is actually matching her yellow undertones in foundation!!

Now if she’d just ditch her ugly wig and keep her hair natural... baby steps I guess

Pre is supposed to be bald Baj’s age? Why not reflect That? His grey streaked hair has toned down(given the stress one would think the grey would have gotten pronounced) while Pre went from looking young and alive with those simple hair styles to updos that have streaks of colors and not well done either. Why the matronly look for Pre to match Sha while Baj is given a younger look?

Along with her character her wardrobe and styling are also being butchered. They are not sparing Pre every which way.

I agree with all the things you hv pointed out.

But I still don't find Erica's make up gud. Just a few episodes back her looked full golden-ish . I didn't like it. But dts subjective .
