I'm usually a silent observer on this forum, but after watching yesterday's episode and also rewatching some of the original season, I decided to make this post. For starters, I know that this season is not a complete remaking of the original, but the essence remains the same.

To me, the essence of Kasautii has always been the love between Prerna and Rishab. Yes, the love between Anurag and Prerna is all-consuming and passionate, but it is also childish, irrational, and compulsive. True love is not supposed to set one's soul on fire. It is supposed to put one at ease. To me, Anurag is Prerna's first love, but Rishab is her true love. I don't know what is to come in this season, but in the original one, yes, Rishab did things to hurt Prerna and their relationship did not always run smoothly. But what relationship ever does? Yes, in this season, the way in which their marriage occurred was not right. Maybe the start is wrong, but that does not mean that the rest cannot be right.

Rishab has already made Prerna's family his own, and that is evident through his actions to help her mom. She has obviously done the same with Kuki. Their love already has a level of understanding and maturity that Anurag and Prerna's never did. Anurag might be willing to do anything for Prerna, but Rishab GETS her, and that is more than what most people can ask for in an entire lifetime. Prerna may live for Anurag, but it is Rishab who GIVES her life.

Rishab has accepted Prerna's unborn child without hesitation, just as he did in the first season. Anurag would never do the same - he did not even accept his own child in the last season, and the way his character is in this season, he won't do it this time either. Rishab knows Prerna loves Anurag, and yet he is okay with it- Anurag on the other hand was not able to accept her happiness last season or this season either.

To Prerna, Anurag was never family. He was simply a lover. On the other hand, Rishab is family, and there is nothing stronger than that bond.

Childish, irrational and compulsive are the words for Anurag - Prerna's love from my perspective as well. There are a lot of things that Anurag - Prerna's relationship lacks which is the foremost reason for them not being together. I can't blame a third party or some circumstances for their miseries. For me, it has always been their actions, choices and decisions that have landed them where they are today. When Anurag and Prerna loved each other, all they thought was - love is all that makes a relationship work when in reality it doesn't. With Rishabh, it's different. It will be different. I feel, if and when Rishabh and Prerna fall for each other, it would be a love to cherish because they will not just love each other but also, support each other, understand and respect each other. It would be more of a kind of a mature love which is always endearing to see.

Anurag's love for prerna has always been selfless in S1.. misunderstandings are always part of a relationship . No one is perfect .. .. When A realised P loves B .. what did he do? usne zameen asmaan ek Kar Diya to unite Bajaj and Prerna... Although his heart was shattering to pieces in the process .. he always kept her happiness above his.. such was his selfless love ....but Bajaj.. when he thought Pre loves Anu .. what did he do? He kept accusing her.. avoiding her .. breaking her heart? He could not bear to see Pre with Anu.. he was quite selfish ...

Yes , I agree Anu made a lot of mistakes in the past.. he left a pregnant prerna for komo, doubted her loyalty and even refused to accept Sneha as his child.. but does all these really make him unworthy ? No it doesn't ... Mr bajaj was no Saint.. I remember he even planted a bomb in Basu office even P married A .. yet people so gracefully forgive him and keep blaming Anu...

I am a fan of KSG since the Qubool hai days .. and I love Parth too. Mr Bajaj being a grey character in the lines of ASR, Maan etc I was really looking forward to seeing PreRish... But AnuPre made me to love them unconditionally ❤️ and no one can replace them .. pre might start loving Bajaj.. but ultimately it will always be AnuPre the soulmates ❤️❤️ just like in S1 ...

Bajaj definitely proved to be a better life partner than the soulmate in S1. But it may not be the same this season. We never know.

Anurag and pre really love each other. I am talking about this season. The only thing they lack is communication and maturity which is vital in every relationship.

If the cvs show them working on it, then why does Pre need someone else? Anurag would be perfect for her. But for that these two need to LEARN to discuss their problems with each other and stop their silent sacrifices.

After reading my opinion, you may feel I dislike Bajaj, but on the contrary I loved ST-RR's PRB! I still watch them on hotstar.

For me those two are my PRB. Here, in S2, I watch it as a new show and just not able to relate to PreRish.

Don't agree. Respect your opinion but your post is based more on season 1 than season 2. Anurag considered Prerna's family his own right from the start, even before he loved Prerna, because of Rajesh uncle. And he has supported her family in multiple occasions without hesitation.

CVs did a lot of work in establishing AnuPre.It wasn't done in Season 1.That's why the story right now is looking really weak because they are trying to negate the old story to establish Prerna-Rishab's marriage yet.

Anurag gets Prerna more than anyone right now. I won't throw assumptions on the future track though. But right now he does. He has understood things right from the Naveen track without her telling him what's wrong.

And when it comes to Rishab accepting Prerna's child? Do you think he had any other option in order to get the ideal mother for Kuki? No. He didn't have any position to accept or reject the child. Why are you assuming that Anurag won't accept his child when he doesn't even know about that? Again, don't assume based on season 1. Say something about that when it actually happens this season.

Rishab being okay with Prerna loving Anurag? Seriously? He snatched someone's bride from the altar and made a mockery of it on his face. What right did he have to be not okay with it? Does it affect him yet? No. It doesn't. It doesn't matter to him yet that she loves Anurag cause he himself doesn't love her. All he cares about is Prerna taking care of Kuki right now. What will happen when he does start having feelings is something we will see in the future.

Prerna isn't happy right now. The only person bringing smile to her face is Kuki. She makes her forget her stress for sometime. But that doesn't make her happy. To Prerna, Anurag was everything. A friend, love, family and her unborn baby's father. He is the person she was going to marry whole heartedly and not because of some majboori.

With Prerna and Anurag - their relationship never seemed to have the element of trust in it. Never. Initially to protect Prerna and Sharma’s, Anurag married Komolika and now to protect Anurag and Basu’s Prerna agreed to a deal with Bajaj. Both these situation could have been avoided if they trusted each other and had open conversation in those situations. It seems to me that they don’t trust each other to be able to handle problems as a unit. They think the other needs protecting. It’s well and good to want to protect the one you love but it’s also important to see that you are a unit and as a unit you can deal with most things.

I will never justify what Rishabh Bajaj did to Prerna. Blinded by the love for his off spring he has failed to see that his child is a daughter as well. In future if she were to be put in such a position what would her situation be. He is correct in assuming that once married Prerna would never be able to be there for Kuki 100% , as she would have her own family. But then why should Prerna? Kuki is just a random child who likes her. Is she supposed to take care of every such child who crosses her path? It is this point that makes Prerna - Rishabh marriage invalid to me right now.

But Rishabh Bajaj respects and treats Prerna as a woman who can deal with things in her own right. He sees that she has strength enough to make things right and sometimes just needs a push. It’s that one element that makes me like them more. Because when and if these two fall in love, it will be more endearing to me than AnuPre. Because there’s trust and respect for the individual as well as the unit.

As for Anurag not accepting his child, how can he when does not even know if it’s existence? Isn’t it logical to doubt the claims of a woman married to another man regarding the paternity of her child? This again shows a lack of trust in my opinion on Prerna’s part - this not telling the father of her child . Anurag and Prerna have an all consummate love but no trust whatsoever.

I agree with everything except the last para. The TM is speaking about Anurag not accepting his child in S1.

After Pre-Bajaj marry, then after few months, bajaj dies in an accident. Then Pre gets married to Anurag (this is going to be the upcoming track after few months in this season too)

After AnuPre marry, they are very happy. But she keeps going to bajaj's house to meet kuki. One day , Bajaj comes back. He is alive. It's shown that he never died, he was in comma.

Slowly misunderstandings crop between AnuPre. Anurag suspects her of visiting Bajaj's house again n again when he knows she does there only for Kuki. After few months, Pre is pregnant, she shares the good news with Anurag but he questions the paternity of the unborn child and says it's Bajaj's child and she has been sleeping around !!

@TM, liked your analysis. I am new to this forum, however, I have been watching the show on and off from the start. From what I have seen on social media, the fanbase of this show is divided in two groups: anupre and prerish.

I may be quoting an unpopular opinion here. But honestly I believe that no relationship in the show is healthy for the 3 leads individually. I used to like anupre till the naveen track. But then I began hating anurag for publicly humiliating prerna during the komolika marriage track. Moreover, I was annoyed with Prerna for having no self respect and staying in the same house as her ex who ditched her after sleeping with her. The entire komolika track made me give up on anupre.

I would have so loved it if in the komolika track, the CVs would have just shown anurag marrying komolika without publicly humiliating prerna, and prerna trying to move on in her own life without clinging to anurag. After that they could have shown their misunderstandings being cleared and them getting back together. This would have made me still root for anupre. But alas! Lack of trust by both anurag and prerna, anurag's humiliation of prerna and prerna's lack of self respect was the final nail in the coffin for anupre, for me.

Coming to bajaj and prerna track. Prerna did the same to anurag which he did to her: Publicly humiliating him by leaving him at the altar. Bajaj on the other hand, has absolutely no valid reason for marrying prerna. He can't just go around marrying a woman just cause his special child warmed up to the woman in 3 encounters. Moreover, enemity against anurag could have been kept limited to destroying basu industries and not a family. For me, he is a dark character with a very wrong moral sense.

I am open to a track in the future where they show bajaj repenting what he did to prerna. Post prerna's forgiveness and bajaj improving to be a better man, they can show a friendship developing between them and soon blossoming into love. But the way it is going, bajaj is whitewashed too soon.

Hence, long story short, I believe none of the 3 leads deserve each other currently ;P
