No one has got issues with her a step mom or a wife as the story line demands it. What freaking AnuPre fans is, how can she get rid off Anu's love so suddenly and easily. You dont just forget your love like this. Although i dont believe she had but it need to be shown too. Thats it.

Anurag-Prerna: There are 2 very good dialogues in an episode of S1 which I saw just yesterday.
Shaadi ke liye sirf pyar kaafi nahi hota, shraddha aur vishwas bhi bahut zaroori hota hai
Mana ki pyar kabhi nahi beet ta, magar pyar karne ka waqt...woh zaroor beet jata hai!
In my opinion, these lines sum up the AP love & relationship!
Rishabh-Prerna: Like you have said, with them it is not about love and romance...their's is a relationship which is started on responsibility and will blossom into true companionship.
For me personally, I would take companionship over love any day...maybe that is why I loved PRB as opposed to AP.
Love, or any relationship for that matter, should only strengthen you. If a relationship makes you weak, then it is not worth it. And Anurag and Prerna have always been each others weakness. On the other hand Rishabh and Prerna made each other strong, they made each other grow and evolve (presuming PreRish go the same PRB way) and hence forged a bind which withstood all storms of life.
Rather than having a love you can DIE for, I would always choose a love which makes you wish to LIVE for, to fight for.
The problem is with the execution that people are not able to connect with prerna. Its haphazard.
Sorry for comparison but S1 the transition was smoother as compared to this. And though i was anupre fan but anu's beyond repair behaviour destroyed them. Compatability with bajaj grew eventually. In the serial world it almost took a decade for her to accept him. And anupre fans faded away from the horizon and bajajpre fans came in.
Yahan they are jumping wagons. Pata nahin kiske saath race lagi hai. There is so much of inconsistency. Plots are not developed well and actors r themselves awkward. Jab jo play kar raha hai wohi convinced nahi hai so how will the audiences be? If people would see some logic and transition they will be dissapointed but not this livid.

I heard in season 1 he did. He actually consummated with komilka and moved on like what prerna did with bajaj but they eventually found their way back to one another. This is my opinion but it seems anupre fans have an issue with prerna moving forward in her marriage. Just think about it like this girls have arranged marriage and end up marrying the person they don't love. At some point they try to make the best of it, move forward and love their husband. Right now bajaj is in the story. Prerna and anurag is separated. The love is still their but they are going to be with different people. So of course them expressing their love will not be shown much. This season anurag's love is stronger..he did marriage only sake of pre n house issues .but he never took marriage seriously..
