I disagree with the very first thought of the post itself that when one loves someone deeply, that gives a right on that person. It doesnt. And this is exactly what’s wrong in many movies like Aye Dil Hai Mushkil or Kabir Singh. Unless there is consent from the other party, one sided love doesnt have any right on the other person.

Now in Anurag’s case, he chose to believe Prerna doesn’t love him, she loves his money and status and he vows to get those. If there is no love from Prerna’s side (as he chose to believe) then there is no self-proclaimed right of Anurag on her just because HE loves her. He can and should fight for what rightfully was his i.e. company, shares, money, social status. But because Prerna’s love and Prerna was never his as he believes, this battle is hollow and empty.

I believe people here are very fond of report game so please go ahead. Those who feel that I'm objectifying Prerna... I'm sorry but Prerna is a person who has emotions a heart which beats for Anurag. Agar kisi ne use object ki tarah use kiya to aapke favourite ne... and he is continuing to do so. Also when someone talks about consent.... Please AnuPre are mutually in love not forced as she is in this deal marriage. So don't try to put words in others mouth. I see people are trying to get AnuPre related threads locked with such things. It's ok if this too gets locked but I m very clear...

Right is not only physical or materialistic it's emotional as well. He has the right to know what went wrong that she did this when till last moment all romantic lovey dovey talks were going on between them. Rest to each it's own get this also locked if the mods wished . Does this mean open forum is only for appreciation in AT? I'm sorry I don't think so.

With due respect to all the people who feel I'm wrong I request the mods to lock my thread if i broke any rules. Otherwise again this would turn into a war zone. Please😳

Thanks🤗

Though I hated Anurag for the slap thing but I really don’t see anything wrong in what he is doing now .

This is same situation as of Naveen a Babu Track , Prerna kept repeating that she is doing the marriage on her own will but he didn’t backed off .... took insults , Popat’s and even faced death but he followed what his instincts said that she has some majboori.

He even once said to NB “Mere dil agar Prerna pe aa gaya toh koi nahin rok sakta usse Mujhe Apna banane se” .....

though his slap and easily believing the gold digger is deviation from the Anurag we were introduced too , but I still see some core retained.

Yest he was reinforcing on the Love that they have and how it will defeat all Kasautiis . So I’m still confused why he talked abt the Gold Digger part ... blame the idiot writers ..😆

Anurag will fight for Pre even if Pre keeps denying till the moment he is finally assured that Pre is Happy and has found her happiness in Sneha .

I never had a problem with Anurag fighting for his girl. However the reason he's doing it and the way he's going about it is completely wrong. If Anurag had actually chose not to believe her, pondered hard on what's gone wrong with her, why she'd do it, how this just doesn't sit well with the person she is, and decided to get to the bottom of everything, whilst winning Prerna back, I would've really understood where he is coming from.

Right now his emotions are running so high and he's volatile and stubborn. He's choosing to believe the worst of her, she's a gold-digger, she's after money, she's only loyal to luxuries, and wants to acquire her. Let's say for a moment, that Prerna really did leave Anurag for Bajaj, willfully and for money, will him doing all this, stalking her, forcing his love narrative on her make any sense? You only have a right on your partner until you're both consensually in a relationship, committed to each other. Once one of you backs off, breaks of that relationship, your rights on the person vanish too. So he doesn't have any haq over this pre, except for his right to know the truth, which she in a way served him. And he chose to believe it.

I wish they'd kept Anurag the old, nuanced and perceptive man he was. I know his emotions are high right now, and he's extremely volatile, again not a good thing. He needs to back off and grow as a person. They both need to. They're far too immature right now to handle a relationship. Both of them are reckless, lack strong communication and trust, and both of them take irreversible, long-term damaging steps. Even if he does get her back after this, what's the point? Where's the growth? Another kasauti and they'll be blown to bits.

Anyway, expecting anything from Kasauti's writers is a moot point. He needs to calm down, ponder hard over everything, and choose to understand and communicate with Prerna above all. His whole paagalpan, and I'll get her through money is such a waste of the respect and depth they built into his character and their relationship in the beggining.

P.S. Please don't see this as a Bajaj fan trying to create discontent lol. I genuinely post on topics for discussion and entertain point of views of all kinds, as long as a healthy debate can be conducted.

Great post and I agree with most of your points

With kasauti, the writing has always been an issue except for the first 3-4 months. There is absolutely no consistency in the characterisations of both Anurag and Prerna.

Prerna did the same thing when Anurag ditched her and married Kom. Initially, she believed his words and went back to BB only for revenge( which never happened btw). She even believed his made up story of him having risked his life to save something as silly as Komo’s engagement ring. They did show her heart vs mind conflict in the track but that was much later. In the end, after Komo’s expose drama, they made it all look like Prerna always believed her heart and the fight was only for her love....revenge was never the reason for her entry in BB. They kept Prerna flip flopping throughout the track and I trust the writers to do the same thing with Anurag....keeping all options open.

I will wait for some more time to see what they are planning to do with him. If he still continues to believe that Prerna did all this for money, then he has got all the wrong reasons for wanting her back and I would never want her to go back to him.

I'm sure people would make this as well a battlefield and hence thread getting locked but what to do? I try my best not to get into these things but can't say about others. So let's try to keep it positive as much as possible. Rest i leave it to the mods to decide. Theyr e doing a fairly good work amongst this chaos in the forum. Thanks to both the Mods for being so fair. 🤗👏

I'm sure we'll never get our innocent AnuPre back. Theyr e killed and the innocence is gone. Parica are the saving grace. Rest is history..... But seriously I feel Anurag deserves to know the reason... he deserves to know about her pregnancy it's his right. What would change now that she is already married. Why are they changing him to psycho lover through her silence? Running away from him and fake anger etc won't help her. She is killing his soul like this. She needs to speak up the truth....

Yes, Anurag deserves to know the truth. It is not a case of his male ego getting hurt because of her rejection...the guy was betrayed very badly on the day of his wedding! How can people expect him to just accept it and move on? Except for the slap,(which was so so unnecessary) every other emotion he felt was completely justified. As of now he is not in his senses.I hope he thinks rationally once he calms down. He never believed her reasons for marrying NB and always sensed that something was wrong. I want that Anurag Basu back😒

@bold: This is my problem with kasauti...they both sacrifice their love to see the other person happy(their definition of happy) only to kill the person from within. What is the use of sacrificing then?🥱

The way they are showing Anurag and Prerna are not meant to be seems to stoop down with every track, not saying it was great before 😆

I can't believe they went for the slap to make scores equal and him believing some bakwas of her from Naveen Babu times or even before that, this was the limit. That is too much of randomness and convenience.......

There was so much unspoken in initial times when he trusted her, now with the way they made promises and spoke about insecurities of a third person breaking, he doesn't trust her, calling her gold digger and we have to trust these writers that's how Anurag is supposed behave ?😆No way.... When this kasauti of anupre started, more than pre marrying and talking about loyalty, I was curious about how would Anurag react after that, and here we go 😆

Drama and illogical stuff are always the base of ITV shows, but this beats everything 😎

Since the writers cannot show what kasauti in their lives actually is, and they arent satisfying with reasons why they are destined to be seperated, the same reason people find anupre a toxic couple, I am conveniently ignoring all such twists and turns in their characters, and for me, they are what their base is and will be forever ......😆

Does this look absurd? YES.

Do I care ? NO😆

The writing in this show is so consistently bad, it's a disservice to every actor involved. I began watching the show for Parth because I'd absolutely adored him in his previous show and I caught Kasauti from episode 1. I couldn't last two weeks then and that's saying something because at least back then, it was ten times better than it is now.

Their major flaw is that they proceed plots on the expense of characters. Good writing is really about using each plot point to enhance the character arcs. Over here, the characters suffer for the plot. Prerna's biggest problem is the fact that she's such a passive, dependent character. She would've married Naveen had Anurag not done everything below the Sun to get her out of that mess. Here as well, I don't understand why she didn't file for divorce on day one of her marriage. She either married Bajaj because she's terrified of his power and fears he's entirely capable of hurting Anurag in n number of ways. Which automatically means she trusts Anurag will fail in any fight against Bajaj. Or if she did it, only and only, to save Anurag from the noose, then she should've gotten down to fighting on day one. Her agenda should've been to either get out of this marriage or find everything she could about Bajaj to use it against him. But she's entirely too busy playing the damsel.

The komolika track was one of my least favorite tracks because of what they did with Prerna there. No self-respecting woman would do what they made Prerna do. That house and the people inside had humiliated her, battered her ego and self respect to the ground and she chose to go inside that house and impose a marriage that was not done consciously at all. Especially since she believed Anurag had actually betrayed her. No self respecting girl should ever do that. If she'd believed something was wrong, she should've chosen to try and get to the bottom of Komolika's truth on an individual basis. I wish they'd used that opportunity to make her character independent and shine. But again, the show's writers botched it all up.

Right now both Anurag and Prerna are far too immature to handle a relationship. They're both reckless and need to grow up, especially Prerna. I'd like to see her character develop some backbone, layers, grow as a person and shine. She neither needs Anurag nor Bajaj. She needs to learn to live for herself first. And Anurag needs to get down with this paagalpan, truly introspect. This is the guy who didn't believe she was a gold-digger when he'd hardly known her. Now, it seems so implausible that he'd believe the extreme version of her story she's painted for him. Especially when Bajaj is involved in all of this. He deserves a break initially because of the immense trauma and shock he's gone through, but they need to go down with this plot asap because it's such a disservice to the respectful, deep and nuanced Anurag they tried to build in the beginning. But again, the writers are on some tangent of their own creation. I truly trust them to spoil everything, and all characters.
