I don't normally make posts but I do read the threads here silently but I just watched the recent episode on hotstar (10th july episode) and am just kinda baffled so wanted to make a post. I am sorry but this is just not making any sense anymore. Does anyone else feel like they are literally repeating S1. I have seen S1 and even some of the scenes are repeating like Bajaj holding the phone for Prerna. However S1 didn't feel as forced for some reason. This time around, I just feel as if things seem forced. It isn't flowing at all. And now I actually liked Kasauti season 1. Ronit and Shweta were impeccable actors. Yay the storyline was ridiculous but still the actors were so good and strong that they made you wanna watch more. So I was all excited about a possibility of a reboot thinking how awesome it would be considering season 1 was so amazing but it has been a disappointment. Maybe it's been Ekta is just trying to repeat the first season over and it doesn't work that way for many reasons. Firstly, Prerna in this season is just written terribly. She comes across as weak and pathetic at times. Don't get me started on her dailogues especially recently where she keeps rinsing and repeating "mere dil mein dhadkan mein sirf Anurag hai." Kya gisa pita dialogue hai. Say what you want about season 1 but if anyone has watched it, you cannot say that Prerna was weak. God, it seemed like there was nothing that lady couldn't do if she just set her mind to it while this Prerna is very submissive and weak.

Maybe many of the issues are coming because of how much they extended Anu-Pre storyline this time around. In the first season, Anu-Pre were only together for a little while and then he marries Komolika. While in this season, they really made Anu-Pre storyline a big thing and in doing so made fans love Anu-Pre and really kept making a mockery of marriage in itself. Is se shaadi, us se shaadi, dhagi is shaadi, sindoor bina shaadi. Ye sab kya joke hai? So anyway, in S2 they really explored Anu-Pre. This show started what in November and only now she is marrying Bajaj. Maybe thats why this seems bizarre. Coz the love story had a lot more time to build in this season and its weird now to see that within a week she is marrying someone else (yay its only been a week). She could have tried to get out of it. Rather than repeating her gisa pita mere dil aur dhadhkan mein anurag hai, she could have made Bajaj realize that she will not be loyal to him after marriage. How can anyone be loyal to someone their heart doesn't approve of anyway? Aren't most people loyal to the ones they love or are they loyal to someone just bc your name is tied with the other person. And what does loyalty here mean anyway? Like does he want her to be faithful as in not sleep with Anu or he wants her loyal in all situations such as sticking up for Bajaj and siding with him. If it's the latter than its meaningless. Even if she sides with Bajaj in front of society, what is the point when she isn't really siding with him. Like who wants to live with a woman or a man who just sides with them/is loyal to them out of obligation. Im not understanding Bajaj's motives here either. I have a feeling he must know that Prerna has been good to his daughter thus he decided she will make a good mother for my kid so he decided to marry her. S2 to following closely with S1 (besides the dhaaga marraige and crap the storyline is pretty much the same) so I'm guessing thats what it will be. Im sure Ekta will add some revenge plot too where Bajaj hates Anu and wants revenge but even if he wants revenge against Anu, this whole blackmailing Prerna to marry her thing is just so wrong. Like who does that? This is 2018. Maybe part of the issue with why this whole story seems lame may also be because the audience has changed. It's 2019. This may have worked 20 years ago but today it seems silly.

So in summary, I think all of this (poor dialogues, story being rushed, forcing Bajaj down our throats, weak lead heroine) is making this show seem lame and the storyline forced at this point.

PS I really loved Mr Bajaj from season 1. This show is actually what made me really like Ronit Roy and I went on to watch other shows/movies including. So I'm not bashing Bajaj or even Prerna since I quite like Prerna from season 1. The only person I really disliked in season 1 is Anurag. Not surprisingly I dislike him in this season 2 but for different reasons. In season 1, I hated him bc he was so weak as a person. He couldn't stick up for himself in front of his family so he got walked over a lot so it was easy to root for Prerna with someone else who could fight for her. In this season he does fight for Prerna (at least tries to) but he's so slow. How do I explain what I mean by that? Like its so bizarre that he feels the need to talk out loud and let us know what he is thinking all the time, and how it always takes him forever to figure something out and how he is always running around town saving Prerna's ass and she is saving his I guess. Koi aur kaam dhanda nahi hai kya? Literally. No work for either of these two people. No wonder their business is suffering this much. Koi dhyan kaha deta hai business ko. Why work when you have love? Paisa toh bus haath ki dhul hai na. When you have love, why fear? Lol. Anyway, all in all at least season 1 had originality. This season seems a lame replica.

Allright that was my very long rant or whatever you want to call it. Just frustration building up over many months. And I didn't even get into how annoying, weird and idiotic Komolika was in this season. Post would have been a lot longer if I had.

Agree 👏

I started watching kzk 2 when Bajaj entered and I was waiting for pre and Bajaj story. I just loved season 1 pre and Bajaj.

But two weeks into the show and I feel like i am done 🤪

I donot know the epic love story of anupre but what i saw in this few days is Anu looks desperate not love. His dialogues every 2min talking to pre on phone is cliche worthy ... Pre looks weak infront of Bajaj with her single dialogue... I felt their is no connection between the scenes or flow. Anu and pre scenes are making me sleep with their big big meaninglesd dialogues. I cannot connect with Anupre. This Bajaj and pre wedding looks a joke now. I feel I am missing connection with Bajaj and pre due to the flow. They are rushing it to show swizz track.. like why.. why swizz is so important

Hatsoffs to the people who are loyal to this show and still continue to watch it.

Great post!

AnuPre's relationship was developed really well this season(unlike s1) during NB track..which was the first 3-4 months. Their journey from being mere acquaintances to friends to best friends to lovers was something very refreshing to see on ITV...especially when every other show was about love-hate relationships. Post NB track, their relationship started going downhill and the writers made everything into joke. I cant relate to what is being shown now. Anuag's over enthusiasm and cringe worthy dialogues, RB suddenly wanting to marry Prerna and even knowing the size of her bangles(creepy)...everything looks so forced and rushed. Before jumping straight to Bajaj-Prerna marriage...they could have shown something related to him(aparrt form his business skills) and at least a part of his reasons for marrying her.

I still don't get the need to rush everything. Instead of a marriage, the deal could have been about Prerna working for Bajaj against the Basus . That way they could have explored Bajaj and Prerna's chemistry slowly wihtout insulting the institution of marriage AGAIN

I have a doubt here. If anyone can remember that Naveen Babu has planned to sold Prerna to someone in London. And from yesterday's episode i felt Bajaj knew Prerna lot before than Anurag may be .. Moloy /Rajesh must have a past with Rishabh Bajaj for sure, how he knew everything abt Prerna, Lord Ganesha, Bangle size and even he knew she will agree to marriage 5 days before. It is certainly not abt Sneha, The way RB looked pained when he saw Prerna crying today. It was spark. May be he is the same guy who was buying Prerna from NB. and now he knows everything abt her and he came to down she is a good mother as well.

Anurag ka business to muft mei hi barbaad ho raha h :D

It's the lack of flow here. Komo didn't disappear in season 1 & Bajaj had already settled before he proposed this marriage. Here they have picked the tracks from season 1 but not build the characters & plot to gradually progress. It's all haphazard.

It is , isnt it. Someone pl tell me anu pre mein aisa kya hai ki saari duniya ko bas unse hi shadi karni hai ? One quality? How is prerna loyal? The womN who ditched her soulmate , hid such an imp news from.him ,how is she loyal? If she was loyal she wud have killed herself but not agree to marry bajaj...anurag toh didnt get a chance only, poor thing , wasted so much time in finding bajajs pic

And mr bajaj ..what is this loyalty crap ? Marry ur manager damn it ! Abhi romance bhi nai chahiye , wife bhi nai. Kisi se bhi kaam chalao

I can so relate to your entire post.

I used to watch S2 on and off but the reason I stopped watching it was because they have shown Prerna as such a weak and submissive character.Season 1's Prerna was such a strong lady and Shweta Tiwari did an amazing job.Every time Anurag or anyone walked over her she knew how to get back on her foot and make something of herself. When Anurag left her for Komolika she decided to build her own business instead of cryong over him and didn't use her ever lasting love for Anurag as a reason for being miserable.I mean come on it's 2018.Ask the girl to make something of herself. Needless to say Prerna in 2001 was far more strong and resilient than the one in 2019.

Take a Bow 🙇‍♀️ for this post.

You have said everything that needs to be said when the characterization in the show are so bad with no depth and the story is haphazard it is very tough to root for anybody or anything that they are showing.

A Replica will always be a Replica and a bad one I rest my case this is from someone who has not watched season 1 even I am not able to stomach this crap , either it makes me laugh out or riles me up at the absurdity.
