Namaste peeps! 🙏
This question is on my mind 'cause I am confused as to where the CVs want to take Ronit's character- is he gonna be a outright antagonist with no redeeming qualities and humanity like his sister Komolika or do they plan to make him atone for his crimes?
Ronit has always been portrayed as a massive brat drunk on power and privilege but in contrast with Komolika or his father, he has been shown to be attached to some people. First is his attachment for his Komo di where he has shown the desperation of a brother who wants to save his sister- him grieving for her in front of Mishka, running after the police jeep when Komo was arrested and his general madness lol.
Even now, they keep implying Ronit thinks AnuPre wronged Komolika and they are to blame. When Mishka told him otherwise, he thought she was betraying her family. It almost seems like they're paving the road for him to realise Komolika was wrong and not AnuPre.
Next is Shivani- his 'love' for her has made him go to lengths that everyone would agree are criminal intimidation. He harassed and stalked her 'cause she is 'his' and he loves her. The flashbacks showed that he broke up with her 'cause of 'majboori' which I think was family pressure from his dad and Komo. Then he almost told her the truth in jail but backtracked to 'save' her from Komolika. His actions at the beginning were quite similar to Anurag's 'insult Prerna to save her' plan. Then their paths diverged and Ronit became obsessive and psychotic.
So, my question is- do the CVs plan on redeeming Ronit? Is Shivani going to get married to Aryan? He doesn't seem like a parallel lead to me and is presented more as a cameo. The CVs have not really tackled this storyline much at all but tell me if there if you have any news about them?
Also, I watched an SBS segment about Ronit kidnapping Prerna and Tarun described Ronit as a 'grey' character, so he probably would not hang around if Ronit was purely evil. Mishka has already strayed from the pack and are they going to show Ronit doing that too?
'Cause it seems that Ronit and Mishka did realise that their family dynamics were 'odd' to say the least. Will they grow into their own persons without Komolika and their father's influence?
