Prerna is always at fault!

This is a rant I posted in the Episode Update thread that I felt deserved a post of its own just because I feel so strongly about it. Not because I want anyone to comment - I just want to say it!

After episodes like today why do people still want to bash prerna?

Why is it always the woman’s fault?

If prerna trusts anurag, she has no self respect or intelligence, anurag has told her to walk away, why can’t she just do that!

If prerna doesn’t trust anurag, look how fickle and stupid she is unlike anurag who trusted her!

If prerna fights about Rajesh, she is being unfair and bringing things up at the wrong moment, anurag’s father has just becomes conscious!

If prerna doesn’t mention Rajesh, what a terrible daughter she doesn’t care, the Sharmas are stupid idiots!

If prerna stays in the basu house, what is her plan, she is not intelligent, she is not even doing anything!

If prerna leaves anurag, she didn’t believe in her love or fight for it!

If she tries to be a business competitor, how did foolish prerna even think of doing that and what a stupid plan!

If prerna tried to take revenge, that’s not true love and why is she not just walking away!

If prerna decides to marry Naveen Babu and make him her family’s son, why an idiotic girl who is unlike girls of today why can’t she just get a job in a call centre and earn money!

If prerna get angry with anurag for marrying Komolika, why is she bejngbeing so selfish why can’t she understand what the pressure anurag was put under and the difficult choice he had to make!

Whatever prerna does there will always be one section of the audience ready to stone the girl. Hence my question, why is it always prerna’s fault?

These are the same constraints society places on us as women in our daily lives versus our male contemporaries.

The same constraints placed on Erica versus Parth by fans.

The same constraints placed on Prerns versus anurag in the serial.

I am not saying prerna is written perfectly. But neither is anurag. And I am sick of hearing this bashing of prerna in the name of wanting a strong female lead while justifying anurag.

For once can we agree that she on her own saved the basus. She is behaving appropriately by not demanding an apology or thanks in the middle of Tapurs engagement as she did it for her kaka Babu and the man she still (foolishly or not) loves. It has been a few months since anurag broke her heart. How many of you have so magically gotten over this so quickly? If someone is at fault here it is anurag and the basus who have not apologised or thanked her.

This is the harsh reality of our society all over the world and especially in our country...

It's easy to point gun at us rather finding the truth...

It's unbelievable that there're few prerna exists in real life too... whatever a woman does it's questionable but it's simple whitewashing for those who hurt her...

I saw all the episodes in one go... Whatever komo did to prerna never affected her mentally or physically... But Anu..Moni...nivi... crossed all the borders in hurting her...

Anu loving her so much but never once he made her feel that lately except in few occasions... I stopped watching this soap after komo anu marriage... Just last weekend I completed watching it after reading the end of komo track temporarily in some news portal...

Unfortunately or fortunately I find the only sensible person in this show is prerna, moloy, Veena, Shivani so far... This is my opinion... I trust prerna's characterization... likewise everyone is entitled to their individual opinion... there's no need of any bashing or blaming game unnecessarily...

You're absolutely right, thank you for articulating this so well. Prerna followed a similar trajectory to how Anurag uncovered the Naveen Babu saga and exposed Komolika in a similar vein. Yet, Anurag never caught as much heat for what he did the way she has. And the absolute worst thing in all of this is that no one thanked her for. Especially for the fact that she didn't create a big scene at Tapur's engagement and made sure to do this in the most effective way, saving Mohini's precious reputation alongside saving her whole family. It's highly likely they'll do it in the next episode so I won't complain too much but yeah agreed, she's definitely the least at fault and needs to stop getting so much flak for absolutely no reason

Most of the online audiences only find faults in prerna...... I'm glad that trp audiences r not like that

I'm not saying pre is perfect... Infact no character is perfect in kzk.... Still most of the fans only tired to find fault in pre.... Just bcz she's FL

For me both the characters have not been written well, but if I have to choose the worst, it will always be Anurag.

Prerna is definitely tons better than Anurag.

In this track both were equally stupid . I dont know why its men vs women always . Prerna cant get away either only coz she is a woman. And anurag too. There has to be some logic to the actions but none had it. Prerna thinking of asking anurag after the storeroom accident " i want to take decision of my life , i will ask anurag" . Seriously? She doesnt trust anurag then why should the decision of her life be based on what he tells her ? And what life decision? Didnt she flaut her sindoor and mangalsutra and say its forever mine and your bhagya? Anurag talking all the bs all the time just confused her ..what nonsense ! She believed his babying komo isnt it ? Shr enjoys his jealousy..A day before she vows to take revenge for sending her to jail , the next day she is crying for kaka babu , on one hand destroying his business on the other bahu ka farz. Anurag did exactly the same things as her. Saying something, thinking something else , doing something else..so how is she better than him?

Edit. Sorry . But by saying this arent we degrading women further ? Anurag promised her so its his responsibility to shelter her , protect her , keep up his promise , marry her ..is her existence and respect dependent on anurag? No. So why does her coming to bb and face all humiliations ok? She didnt do it for love but for revenge. Thats what she said . N now she chanced upon the proofs , so she exposed komo. All this while did she doubt anurag or komo? She was as much useless all the while as anurag.

This time around same character different reimagined story means they understand the core nature of their characters. Anu public humiliation at his engagement to Komo was extreme. If he didn’t trust where is the love? He could have let Pre In on the truth of the situation as he knew it and they deal with it together. After all that was his promise - they will face everything together.

CVs forgot this to take the story on a whim in directions that defies logic.

I slightly like to disagree because I believe in equality and I find as women we our self make us week by saying why women are blame all the time kind of thing. I feel brought up in 21st century cant we fight our self then saying why women are blame everytime when we are in trouble.

Second thing.. I am sorry of person who like to hear both side of story and intention behind it so for me in this show both lead are at fault. I really hate it when majority of people blame Male lead only. I find both act stupid as each other so I dont think blame should be only in one. If Prena would have moved on then I would have supported her but she herself come to a man who she thought cheated her.. that is not womenempowwrment.

I might be wrong for some people but lately being a women I find we use women card soo easily whereas we can fight our battle our self.. plus both need a blame then just 1 in my opinion.

Unfortunately fans on twitter and IG dont view it as Anurag Vs Prerna but Parth Vs Erii..

So even if Anurag crosses all his limits tomorrow, Prerna will always be at fault..

So dont let those views upsets you as they are all biased.. At the end of the day, its all about what you believe in..

I do have one question though.. We were all prepared and we all knew that humiliations, abuses and everything else would be whitewashed.. but should Prerna at least be angry with Anurag for hiding the truth from her but also decide on what’s better for her? What about all the promises he made on that confessions day? Hamesha saath dunga.. we will always be together..

may be its just me, but I can’t connect with either of them for now esp Anurag.. I just read the updates now and I am probably the only one who fell sick after watching their dance sequence on IG..
