High time for CVs to rethink

Hi guys this is basically a rant post feel free to ignore but don't bash any actor character

Is so much negativity really required?
Every one seems to be to eager to jump on the negativity brigade. So far there's Mohini, Naveen, Nivedita and the bhabhi that are all characters painted in shades of black. Komolika will definitely enter soon and going by the traits will be very much more negative than all the above combined.

So would it really hurt the CVs to give some positive characters other than the lead? The show is becoming too negative when leads are not on screen with the only exception of Moloy Basu. I think just like so many supporting negative characters the show needs supporting positive characters too. It'll be great if komolika's dad is positive.

Another thing Basu family characters are so we'll developed now right from Anurag to Anupam. It's high time to focus on Sharma family characters starting from Prerna. Her role needs to be cemented strong -again on need of the hour basis

Ok I'm done. See you later!

I feel like Ekta wants Komolika to be the star of the show not Prena, so be prepared to see Hina Khan eating a ton of footage. I don't know if I'll bother to keep watching.

Well I'm not a fan of villains either. Yes they're there to spice up things but what shall they spice up if the atmosphere is not calm and nice? Simply adding to negativity.
Not impressed at all. Perhaps even Moloy cant overshadow all the characters for me šŸ˜†

I'm ok with komolika's being negative lead and having a bunch of cronies

What I'm saying is let Prerna have her own bunch of cronies like a bunch of good people.

Any show needs a balance of both, else it's extreme positivity or negativity. Either of which is not too palatable. This show is revolving only on negativity that is my problem.

I only like Moloy so far but there's too much black for his white. No balance

A prime problem with indian serials is that positive characters, whether they are a main or especially a supporting positive character, are mostly shown to be weak and not do much in the show, stay quiet when the villains are shooting their mouth off, and in contrast every grey/black negative character is given far much more screen space, more dialogues etc than positive character.

This is what I call the inactive positive character, who usually are made to be cry babies when something bad happens to the main characters or who just stand like silent spectators to all the wrongdoings of the villains or atrocities meted out on main characters.

There may very well be more positive characters in a serial than negative, but you won't notice most of the time given the positive characters will be supporting actors given no dialogue or screen space and just stand as the villain humiliates the lead, so most of the time it seems there are more villains than positive characters, just because negative characters are given something to do in the show. 🤢

In Ekta's world, mostly there vamps rule. On top of that Hina is bigger star than both the leads. No wonder she will get much bigger chunk in terms of remuneration, promotions and screen space.

Oh I totally agree with you. Like why can't Prerna fight harder for Anou? Why does she just have to sacrifice her life to save her family? Do nice ppl just go around sacrificing themselves every day? Do nice, positive people not deserve to fight for a good relationship and love? It's always shown in Indian serials that if you manipulate people and situations you can get whatever you want. No wonder there is so much negativity around these days.

Prerna needs to be portrayed as a strong woman who can be positive, fight for what she wants and believes and also achieve it. I want to see a positive female lead not watch her man get swept away by some vamp. I want her to be like hey this is my guy. Loudly express her feelings, rather than hold them in. Silence isn't always power. Some times you have to loudly verbally express yourself.

Show is lacking balance. In one episode there is all over Naveen, in another episode there is all over Komolika, in one episode there is all over romance. They need to do things in balance.
