STAR Plus' chart topping soap 'Kausatii Zindagi Kay' produced by Ekta Kapoor will be axed "within four months" according to a news piece in Mumbai Mirror.The lead protagonist Shweta Tiwari who plays Prerna has been unable to devote time to the popular soap and other cast members are also reluctant to stay with the long-running series. The actors and the directors on the show have been giving a tough time to the production house.
A source from the production house told Mumbai Mirror, "In the next four to five months, the show will be wrapped up. The actors do not report to the sets on time and keep the directors waiting. In turn, no director likes to work for the show. No one, in general, likes to work for the Kasautii… team nowadays."
Shweta has been busy with other projects and expressed her desire to quit the soap. "They make-do with cheat shoots using body doubles and duplicates. The real actors are hardly there in the master shots. Shweta's presence is crucial to the show. But if she doesn't get back to normal and resumes shooting, then there is no choice left for us. Shweta has been through a lot in her personal life, her personal crisis and issues with her husband Raja has taken a toll on her career as well. Besides, she has to take care of her daughter too. We don't see her date problems sorting out any soon."
