Rohit was first choice for Kasauti role

The news that Amar Upadhyay secured a role in Balaji's Kasautii Zindagi Kay (Star Plus) is old. However, little does anyone know that the original choice for the role was Rohit Roy.

Roy who's currently seen in Sarrkkar (Zee) as Karan Pratap Singh was the first choice for the role now essayed by Upadhyay. If that had worked out he would be playing brother to his real life sibling Ronit Roy for a second time. Confirming this Roy says, "Yes I was approached for the role."

Explaining why he didn't do the role he said, "There were a couple of things that didn't work out. I didn't have the requisite dates and another was the money offered."

Balaji Telefilm's head honcho Ekta Kapoor however maintains, "We had some issues with the dates. It isn't anything major. I look forward to working with him in the future."

Sources close to Roy say that the actor is currently having talks with Ekta and discussing other possibilities.

A cautious Roy while not denying this, said,"I think it's too premature to reveal anything about the discussion. All I can say is that both of us are keen to work with each other and in the future something may be worked out."

Roy has earlier worked with Balaji on Kkusum, where he played the lead role of Abhay Kapoor now played by Anuj Saxena.

These days the actor is busy shooting for Zee's Sarrkkar, Dance Divas on Zoom and he will also appear on the big screen in Ek Hasina Ek Khiladi with Fardeen and Koena Mitra.

so guys the news abt amar upadhyay entering kzk was rt i think.. but frankly im not happy wid it.. i dont like him.

Rohit Roy as Rishu's younger bro would hv been SSOOO COOL. Rohit ki jagah amar- such a disappointment.

I hope Amar has the same fate as old shravan- Amar ko old shravan ki tarah replace karna chaahiye aur Rohit ko lena chaahiye. The Roy Brothers will rock Kasautii..

do u guys know that amar came for a physical fight with ronit ..after ronit's success as mihir.

they even had a fight in the kyunki sets...in early 2004.

then amar is a big rival 4 ronit's character length in kzk...i'm sure ekta is getting some wicked plans in her mind...

may be she wants to show world that...if she can get a popular actor out of business then she could get him back toooo.

i smell something fishy some where...i hope she is not angry with ronit.
