Come September and television audiences will be greeted with the second season of the popular dance show, Nach Baliye. This reality show is a dance competition comprising television actors and their real life spouses. In the launching of its first season itself, this show gained immense popularity, with the audience partly deciding the fate of the couple. Announcing the launch, Sameer Nair, Chief Executive Officer, Star India said, "We had an idea, and turned it into reality… and our audiences made it an outright success. Nach Baliye is that simple. And now, it returns with the promise to deliver the same magic…if not more. We have added in some surprises, not just for our viewers but for the participating jodis, as well." The format of the show remains the same, but for their second season– reality episodes, which includes meeting the couples families on Fridays and performance episodes on Mondays, there is an entire set of new additions being made to the show. The second episode will extend to 13 weeks instead of 10 weeks (as was the case in the first season). This season will also have a special wild card round that will permit one of the voted out couples to get back into the league after the fifth episode. In addition, this time there is a completely new set of television couples participating in Nach Baliye 2, who've already begun their training, for the competition. Television actor, Hiten Tejwani said, "The training started three days ago. After wrapping up our shooting, which normally gets done by 10 pm, we have been meeting up with our choreographers." "We are very dedicated to dancing our best. Although none of us have any done any professional training earlier, we still hope to win, just like every other participant does," said Gauri. While 'Jodi No.7', Hiten and Gauri Pradhan seem to be getting geared up for the competition, 'Jodi No.6', television actors Gurdip Kohli and Arjun J. Punjj feel rather confident about their performance. "We've danced for the television awards and even for songs in our serials. Besides, we love dancing. So when we were offered the chance to participate in the show, we accepted it right away," said the excited 'Jodi No.6'. And regarding any controversies that may arise during the competition, 'Jodi No.3', Shweta Kawaatra and Manav Gohil care a damn. "All the couples who are participating are our friends. We have entered the show to enjoy ourselves dancing and hang out with our friends," said the couple. For Tanaaz R. Lal and Bakhtyaar M. Irani, it is simply following the family's footsteps. "Last year, my sister Delnaz and brother-in-law Rajiv Paul participated in the competition, and seeing their enthusiasm Tanaaz and I also decided to participate," said Bakhtyaar. The only funda for Jodi No.1, Narayani Shastri and Gaurav Chopraa, is - to be No. 1 all through the competition. "We are dedicated towards dancing. We promise to use the best of our abilities to be No. 1," said the couple. For Shweta Tiwari, participating in Nach Baliye 2 is fulfilling a life long ambition. "I have always wanted to be a dancer. Participating in this show with my husband Raja is great," said Tiwari. For Tina Kuwajerwala, wife of television actor Hussain, the competition is very important. She is rather nervous about her television appearance, as she will be facing the camera for the first time. "I am quite nervous, as I am not used to facing the camera. But Hussain and me love to dance, so it will be quite a wonderful experience for me," said Tina. |
