Mid-day Article on Shravan Replacement

Get ready for a new Shravan in Kasautii Zindagi Kay. Replacing the original Shravan (Abhinav Kapoor) is Pradeep Kharb (Shlok of Kkavyanjali).

Confirming this development, senior deputy creative director for Balaji Telefilms, Nivedita Basu said, The track was changing and we needed a mature-looking guy. Abhinav didn't fit the bill, so we decided to get in Pradeep.
Adds Basu, Shravan has two women, Kasak (Surveen Chawla) and Tanisha (Shubha Verma), pining for him. We didn't think Abhinav should play the role anymore because he looks childish. The character needed someone who looks tough and macho.

Dropped? No problem

Reacting to this news, Kapoor said, I have no qualms about leaving Kasautii. I had a great time working with the unit. I respect the decision, as it does justice to the track that will follow.

After four months with the Kasautii unit, the actor has now been asked to be a part of Balaji's new show on MTV. I am highly excited about my new assignment.

It is a new show based on the Page 3 lifestyle. I don't have the details about the character, but from what I have heard about it, I think it will be fun, says Abhinav.

Saying goodbye is so difficult

Recalling some of his memorable experiences on the show he says, Compared to others, I was a complete newcomer to the industry. But my seniors, especially Ronitji and Cezzane gave me tremendous support. They helped me a lot with my performances.

According to him, in spite of all controversial stories that make the headlines from the Kasautii sets, there are lots of fun moments that he has shared with his co-stars.

Everyone is strictly professional on the sets. But when it comes to having a good time, everyone joins in. If one person was having kulfi, then everyone wanted to have it too.

Also, playing practical jokes on each other was a favourite time pass.

Will he miss the unit and playing Shravan?

Of course. I am going to miss everyone on the show. But shuffling from one show to another is common in this industry, so you have to move on.
