When two big people don't work together, people think there is some problem between the two. It's true that I was offered a role in Kasauti..., which I refused. It was not to my liking and I'm used to playing the central character. Ekta completely understood this. I would like to work with her and she really wants to work with me too. And I'm not saying this to sound politically correct.
Did you refuse Kasauti... because you don't want to be overshadowed by Ronit who plays Mr Bajaj in the same serial?
That's not true. Ronit has really worked hard to reach this point in life. I like playing the romantic lead and in Kasauti... there is no room for me as a romantic lead. So why should I take up some unimportant role just to be in a popular show?
