How boring, no Mukti, little bits of Prem and complete Sneha and Debo. AVOID EPISODE IF YOU CAN.
Eppy begins with Prerna's warning that their family will break down if Bajju does not stop his antics...
Doris runs down the stairs and looks at Tushar, talking and laughing..she thinks to herself, "I know that you are putting on a brave face for me...you lost everything because of me...your dad's trust, your position in the company...everything, but still, you hide your hurt from me so that I don't get upset"...You know, I'm really starting to feel for this Doris...all said and done, while she may not be able to speak Hindi very well, she sure seems to want to just fit in...I really hope she doesn't turn out to be evil...but then that would mean that Rishu is in the wrong....I'm confused...
Prerna comforts Doris and apologises for what happened to her on her first day in this house. Doris tells her not to worry, Dad will take his time in trusting her...perhaps a whole lifetime (whose? His or yours?)
She tells her that she wants to be as brave and strong as Prerna. They hug...awww.
Next scene...it is morning in Basu House (wow, haven't been here for ages, the Basus always seem to tapko at Bajaj House for everything) and everyone is woken up by the sounds of an aarti...guess who it is?
No really, go on, take a guess.....
Yup The one and only...our very favourite....

I can hear the aarti but she sure as hell aint singing....you know Debo, it doesn't really count when you play a tape instead of singing the aarti yourself....
Dude, SERIOUSLY, she is a carbon-copy of Komo...methinks Komo has escaped the mental asylum, had plastic surgery done and come back into the Basus' lives....or else this is her long-lost sister.... entirely possible, don't forget!
I have to say, much as I hate Debo, I really love her choice of aarti....so powerful...anyone know the name?
The whole family slowly comes down and stands in the aarti. Chi chi chi....nobody's thought to take a bath first? I hope they've at least brushed their teeth...
The aarti ends and Debo starts her act..."Mago!" (I think that was the word! My Bengali isn't great...)"I can't believe I woke everybody up! I'm sorry!"...Yeah right...this is exactly what she wants, attention...
She tells them that she is used to doing the puja early in the mornings but from tomorrow she will do the puja in the mandir so as not to disturb them. Gullible as ever, Mohini Basu and her clan of simpletons immediately fall for Debo's tricks and tell her that from now on, every day the puja will happen at home...Anu remembers the time when Baba used to do the puja everyday and thanks Debo for reminding him.
Mohini despairs that her only grandson speaks less Hindi and more English...excuse me....jab tak Shravan tha, to woh hi tumhara grandson tha....ab Prem kya aagaya, usse sab bhool gaye? And where did Prem even come into this conversation? That was a stretch too far...
Debo tells Sam that she will help her in the kitchen because she likes doing the housework
I cannot believe this family is so dumb that they can't remember that 25 odd years ago, another such chamak-chalo entered their lives and they are still paying the consequences of that...these people have such short-term memories....
Debo asks Mohini how far Nariman Point is from their house. She says that she has to go there for dance classes everyday...riiight....masti marne jaati hogi....
Mohini tells her not to worry, they will bring the dance teacher home everyday instead...Debo laments that it will be too expensive for the family to do so...Mohini tells her not to worry about money...idiot...she's going to drain you of your every last rupee...
Debo says fine, but today in any case, she will have to go to Nariman Point...Indro says that he will drop her today...he gets excited

Prerna tells Birju Kaka to hurry up with breakfast, he shows her Doris in the kitchen making brekkie herself!
Hope its not poisoned....
Doris has made a full Russian breakfast...ohh, so she's Russian...that explains the croaky English accent....all is forgiven...
Birju Kaka tells Prerna that Bajju will not like Russian food...Doris says that she only knows how to make Russian food. Prerna says ok, everyone will eat only Russian food that day. She asks her where she learnt such good Hindi...must say, it is improving day by day...
Doris tells her that Tushar had told her that to be involved in my family, you will have to learn Hindi, and for the past two years, she has been learning Hindi from him. She says that she has interest in Indian culture....I'm beginning to prefer this firangi honorary Indian to the real but fake Bengali Issh...
Everyone arrives for breakfast. Prem is real excited to see western food
Bajju asks Birju ( ) where his breakfast is and Prerna tells him that they will all eat Doris's Russian food today. He gets up to leave, but Prerna tells him that it is the first time that Doris has made something in that house and that if he leaves, he will insult not only the food but Doris as well. Honey, that was kinda the idea....anyhoo, he picks up an obligatory piece of breakfast, eats it and makes to leave.
Prerna tells him that he is forgetting yet another thing. Seriously Prerna, are you angling for another argument? She says that when the new bahu makes something for the first time, the elders of the house must give her shagun...Bajju takes out some money from his pocket...a measly amount, by his standards, and passes it over to Doris, who accepts it gracefully.
She goes to touch his feet but he leaves her hanging and walks off. Prerna tells her not to worry, he's just angry but he will come around. They have breakfast.
Doris and Tushar have a cute husband-wife scene where she kisses him on the cheek. Birju Kaka sees and covers his eyes, stammering that he didn't see anything Chill Birju, nothing happened, it was a peck on the cheek, that's all...Tushar and Doris are embarassed. Doris tells Tushar that ever since she has arrived, she has seen Sneha quiet and upset. Yes, that's because she is an attention-seeking brat with nothing better to do
Doris tells Tushar that they must take her out somewhere.
Oh God, I can barely write the next few scenes for boredom, but I have made a committment, so must suck it up..avoid this scene if you can...
Doris takes Sneha to a nightclub where Sneha once again remembers loser Monkey-Boy and cries. She tells Doris that this was the very place where Sharad proposed to her...Doris apologises and says that they should go somewhere else. Sneha refuses, saying that wherever she goes, her past will follow her. Hey idiot, take a leaf out of Mukti's book, why don't you? She is twice the woman you are.
They go inside, and Sneha can't stop torturing us with her stupid memories and sad tunes...she goes off to the bar and orders a soft drink. A woman's hand is shown mixing a pill into a hard drink. A waitress offers that drink to Sneha, who refuses at first, but takes it when she is asked again. Seriously, has this girl learnt nothing? First, the whole Mukti thing, then very recently with herself, like I said, these people have very short memories....can anyone say that Sneha doesn't bring her troubles onto herself? Idiot.
A woman in a saree (looked like Kamini--her ex-mother-in-law from the back) is seen leaving.
As expected, Sneha begins to feel drowsy after downing the thing...alcohol that she is, she should have gotten used to it by now...she goes outside for fresh air, where she vaguely sees a girl and guy arguing and the guy sort of forcing his weight on her. She thinks that it is Sharad forcing himself onto Mukti..in her drunk anger, she conveniently finds a danda and begins to beat "Sharad" with it... Mother India ki beti jo hai, ahkhir...
The girl starts screaming and saying that "you hit my boyfriend!"...sudeenly we hear police sirens...WOW, thats gotta be the fastest police force in the world....complaint hone se pehle hi pohonch gayi? And who says that Indian police is always late?
A guy goes into the club and tells everyone that a girl has just beaten a guy mercilessly outside. Doris is shocked. The police arrive and arrest Sneha...too right...Doris calls Prerna and tells her everything...
End.
Let me venture a guess as to what will happen tomorrow, aside from it being a completely Sneha-centric eppy...Bajju will blame Doris for not taking care of Sneha and he will taunt and humiliate her further...everyone will be gathered around Sneha. If Mukti and Prem are there, they will not have too much in the way of dialogues, and there will be more moping from Pyaar-Ki-Maari Sneha....great.
