Be clean, be fit and exercise together
Manoj Bohra and Teejay Sidhu are a couple who understand the importance of fitness, says Leena Mogre

I have known Manoj Bohra since the days when he wanted to become an actor for television. Thanks to his dedication and hard work he has achieved tremendous success. Manoj has been athletic since he was a child, tennis being his favourite game. Manoj is now readying himself for a role that he has been offered in films, he came to my gym in order to work towards achieving a healthier and leaner body and calls it the 'designer gym,' because each person here has their own exercise and diet schedule, that suits their individual body type.
Working out with someone, always helps you to remain motivated. In Manoj's case his favourite partner, is his girlfriend, Teejay Sidhu, who is as dedicated to exercise as he is. The couple follows a strict diet and refrains from smoking and drinking. Two evils which one must stop indulging in, if they want to be healthy.
The workout
Manoj follows a 12 week schedule that was designed for him by trainer Vinith Shetty. His routine is as follows:
• Three weeks endurance and weight training (thrice a week) and three days cardio
• Three weeks only cardio
• Four weeks circuit training (per body part) followed by 20 minutes cardio
• Two weeks power training; three days cardio and three days abs
Teejay's routine is designed by me and is as follows:
• Weight training thrice a week
• Two days power yoga
• Two days rest
Both Manoj and Teejay are both vegetarians and the following is their diet:
• Breakfast: Oat meal porridge and a banana
• Post workout: Banana and protein shake
• Lunch: Roti, sabji, dal, dhai, chaas
• Mid evening: Protein shake and a brown bread sandwich
• Dinner: Tofu, paneer, salad, bhakri (bajra roti)
Being vegetarians both eat large amounts of tofu and soya products. If they are out of town and do not have access to healthy food, they have meal replacements. "Be clean, be fit" is the motto Manoj lives by and also feels the best way to stay healthy is to eat and live healthy.
