Recap: Mr B & Prerna are divorced.
Next morning, Mr B is sitting in his office. Gupta comes there.
Gupta: Rishabh, we have a meeting with a client @ 4pm.
Mr B: Cancel it, I have to go shopping with Madhvi.
Gupta: But this is very important.
Mr B: Nothing is more important than Madhvi now . Her happiness means the world to me.
Gupta is shocked. He doesn't like this.
Gupta: Rishabh, for last 10 years, Prerna supported you through thick and thin. She did her duties towards you and your family. You always suspected her love. But she has proved her love for you. Ab aisa kya ho gaya ke tumhare dil se Prerna ka naam mit gaya?
Mr B: Gupta, I don't live in the past. 10 saal Prerna ne jo kuch bhi kiya, apni marzi se kiya. Maine use force nahi kiya tha ke mujh se shaadi kar lo, mera, mere ghar ka, mere bacchon ka khayaal rakho. Yeh uski apni marzi thi. And I am TIRED. Tired of being grateful to her.
Gupta: Do u still love her ?
Mr B: NO. I DON'T LOVE HER. My priority is my child now. I don't want my child to be called 'illegitimate'. I'll give my name to this child, and I'll take care of this child's mother. Prerna is my past, and I have moved on. please cancel the meeting.
Gupta doesn't like it, but keeps quiet.
Anurag, Prerna, and their kids go out for an outing. They reach a restaurant. Mr B is sitting in the restaurant with a client. Sneha sees him and goes up to him and calls out "Papa!". Mr B looks at her, smiles a bit and says "Excuse me Sneha, I am busy now." Prerna brings Sneha back to her table. Both are sitting at two corner tables. Mr B gets up, dials Prerna's phone and goes away from his table. Prerna picks it up.
Mr B says "Mrs Basu, apni beti se uske baap ka naam keh bhi do. Mera naam kab tak barbaad karti rahengi aap?"
Prerna says angrily "I dont want sneha to be known as your daughter. You are a disgusting man. Anurag is much better than you."
Mr B smiles and says "Thanks Mrs Basu. I don't want stray children calling me 'papa' all thanks to you. The Bajaj Anathashram is closed down. Please take a note of it. " Prerna disconnects the phone.
She fuming with anger. Mr B continues his business meeting. P,A and kids go home.
Mr B goes back to his office. He calls Pooja in. She comes. Mr B says "I wanted to discuss a new project." Then he realizes it is already 5:30. He says "We'll discuss it tomm., if you want to leave right now.."
Pooja "No sir, I have ample time."
Mr B opens his laptop and shows her a presentation. Pooja is first surprized, then excited, and then confused.
Mr B "Kya hua?"
Pooja "Sir..are you really planning to do this..I mean, acquiring Basu Publications?"
MR B "Yes. Ofcourse.I am already in talks with the brokers and the FIs"
Pooja "But sir..the shareprice.."
MR B "Soon I'll start with the story that Mr Anurag Basu has links with the underworld, and there'll be focus on Prerna- the woman who gets the deals signed for Mr Basu..by any which way she can..!"
Pooja "But sir..this is..not true, is it?"
Mr B laughs and says lazily "aaaahhh..I don't know that Pooja...shaayad sach hai, shaayad nahi! Lekin is news se, share prices gir jayenge, aur phir- my work will be easier, isn't it?"
Pooja "But sir..Basu Publications was the place where ur two father-in-laws worked.. Mr sharma and Mr moloy basu..earlier you didn't even want to compete against them, you wanted them to win.."
Mr B "I was a fool back then. Now I am the old Rishabh Bajaj- the one who was not married to Prerna. I am going to resort to my old ways now. Being nice doesnt work in this world, Pooja...people walk all over you!"
Pooja's phone rings. It's Rahul. He says "Jaan, kahan ho??? Come on, let's meet , go for a movie or dinner."
Pooja looks at Mr B who is busy number-crunching. She realizes that the only thing she wants to do right now is to be by Mr B's side. She says to Rahul "My parents won't allow. will call u later." Mr B looks up. She smiles. He goes back to working on his new project. She sits there just watching him work. After some time he forces her to go home but, only after she forces him to have an early dinner.
Mr B works till late night- calculating, making phone-calls to useful contacts.. He works through the night. Early morning 6 O'clock, he leaves office. On his way home, he buys all the newspapers from the stall. In each paper, there is a story painting anurag and prerna as traitors and criminals. Mr B takes all the papers and goes inside his room. He is surprized with himself, though he has managed this major victory, he is not happy..but he doesn't know 'why'.

Prerna gets up, and picks up the newspaper. She is shocked seeing the headlines.
