Cezanne out of new Balaji show
But will continue with his other assignments for the production house

Last month, Cezanne Khan of Kasauti Zindagi Kay fame was in the news for bagging a plum role in yet another Balaji show. The 28-year-old Cezanne was finally breaking away from his 50-plus character of Anurag Basu in Kasauti…, with his role of a young man in Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka.
Undoubtedly, at that time he was ecstatic about clinching another show from producer Ekta Kapoor's soap factory. But just as the shoot for the show is all set to roll, news of Cezanne's ouster is already making the rounds.
A frazzled Cezanne says, "It was becoming increasingly hectic for me. I couldn't have handled two daily shows. So, it was for the best; taking this decision now when the show is in the pre-production stage. "The parting was amicable. I spoke to Ekta about it and she understood my plight," he adds.
Cezanne reassures his walking out of this show will not hinder his relationship with Balaji, Ekta, or his standing in Kasauti… When contacted, Ekta said, "Last week, Cezanne informed me that he will not be able to work 16-17 hours a day. I required that much time from him, especially for Kya Hoga since it is a new show. He also cited health problems to me. As a producer, my job is to offer and not pressurise. Opting out Kya Hoga was completely Cezanne's call and there is no bad blood between us."
Sources point to another reason for Cezanne's refusing this role – his apprehension of sharing the screen space with the other yet-to-be-finalised actor in the show. Cezanne was promised a solo lead in the show. "That's not true at all. I never promised him the solo lead. The show had two male leads right from day one," says Ekta.
Cezanne chose to be diplomatic adopting the "no comments" stand. The production house is already in search for the new lead character to replace Cezanne for Kya Hoga, which is slated to go on air three weeks from now on Star One.
