The 20-year leap is slated for February 2.
Cezanne Khan and Shweta Tiwari are not leaving the serial, though originally they did think at least twice before donning the elderly garb.
"What elderly garb?" argues Nivedita Basu, "We have just changed Shweta's hairstyle and Cezzane may wear glasses. Ronit may grow a bit of hair." Grow? With age, hair fall and not grow. "That's style," Nivedita smiles.
She continues, "At this point of time, Prerna (Shweta Tiwari) is pregnant with Bajaj's (Ronit Roy) child. The leap-forward version will have few new characters.
-Kasak (Surveen of 'Kahiin To Hoga' fame): Prerna and Bajaj's daughter.
-Shravan (played by a newcomer): Debu and Aparna's (Gitanjali Tikekar) son who Anurag has taken abroad.
-Tanisha, played by Shubha (of 'Kartika' fame) : Madhavi (Bajaj's first wife earlier played by Sonal Sehgal) and Vineet's daughter.
-Sneha, played by Jeniffer Vinget: Prerna and Anurag's (Cezzane Khan) daughter
-Vikrant, played by newcomer Abhinav: Tanisha's cousin
Anurag comes to India only because of Shravan. The youngsters are unaware of their parents' history. Some of them fall in love with each other, leading to further confrontations and tussles with the elders.
