I had to post this reply for my own sanity, didn't want people to end up looking at me as the villain who complains or preaches (not that I care, especially when I know I am right), nor am I looking for any sympathy. But my friends suggested I clear the air, so I am doing this on their behest.
Mods, if you feel this post crosses any limits, please by all means close it/delete it. Sorry for the trouble.

Thanks for pitching in for me, Since the show has got nothing to offer, I think we are getting personal here. I will not like to get into any sort of accusing any other member special on my post but yes those days are gone when we called Rohit frog faced (now he is a hearthrob of Kasturi) and Meera's smile. I am given to understand these are part and parcels of showbiz which every actor as to go through, even Sahil i.e Prashant was not a great actor but he was good to look at so we woman folks never complained about his looks. Nevertheless my stand is very clear that for me KS is a product and I have every right to critize it.
Thanks my friends for standing by me because I was really taken aback by the attack, never in my 2 years in this forum I have been attacked so personally infact I have received several PMs that people find my post funny and enjoyable, specially when I used to write 'aaj ki do baate' and take on Meera mercilessly, from her smile, looks and acting...something as gone amiss somewhere...I am sorry to hurt the sentiments of the Members but I am not sorry for writing this post, as a consumer it is my right, this is show biz remember...in replying to Munchkin's post I can only say that yes I am not evaluated for my looks in this office because here looks don't matter, if I had been an actor / model etc., definitely measurement criteria would have been different...Once again thank you friends, love Tin

My sincere apologies for stating my point of view which was in direct contrast to what you and your friends had to say. I wasn't getting personal or attacking you unlike what you and your friends think, in fact if the generation next actors were on this forum, they would think you were getting rather personal with them/about them. I simply said what I felt was right and used the same kind of tone/language that you did in your post, becoz I only wanted to tell you that I felt what you said in your post crossed certain lines as per me. But if that makes my levels low as per your friends, then fine, so be it, the feeling is mutual. đ
Yes gone are the days when people referred to Rohit as frog face, Aparajit as weasel, Pia as reptile and Meera as....I have forgotten what........but that was then and this is now, and it has been made very clear by the Mods that comments about the actors and their physical attributes are totally uncalled for and I commend them for taking that stand, it was high time.
As a consumer you, I and the rest of us do have the right to criticize, voice out our frustrations, but there is a certain manner in which it should be done/said and the Mods in this forum have clearly time and again stated what limits the members need to stay within.
If you were taken aback by my so called attack on you, let me tell you even I was taken aback, in fact disappointed after reading your post. I have always held you and your views in high esteem, in fact I have even saved all your fanfic's on a word file and take printouts to read whenever I go on long haul flights becoz they were highly recommended for the true to life subjects most were written on. The one I am currently reading is about the Bani whose color is dark and she is treated badly by her family and Pia the fair one is preferred to her. I had mentally made a note to commend you for writing so beautifully on such a subject becoz I was witness to something similar that happened with a friend's relative, I was just waiting to finish reading the whole fanfic. I loved how you implied that it is not always about looks. Then I read your post which kind of indirectly advocated that one has to be pretty and handsome to venture into telly land/acting and trust me I was sad, so I told you what I felt. Does it mean people who don't look handsome and pretty should not try their luck and follow their dreams in tellyland/acting?
Some of your posts have been funny and entertaining like you said, but I didn't feel entertained nor did I find what you had to say about the generation next and their looks to be humorous at all, in fact it was in very poor taste, especially coming from you......stating that your eyes went sore on seeing them becoz they looked like extras, in fact even extras look better, and that you wanted to contribute Rs. 1 so that ekta hires pretty/handsome actors etc etc left me speechless for a moment. To you and many others they may not be handsome and pretty, but nevertheless they are humans at the end of the day who are doing what they like and trying to earn a living just like the rest of us and as a human being I think it is basic courtesy/decency to show respect to others even if they come from the entertainment industry. Yes many actors go through these attacks it is part and parcel of their job, but when it has been stated clearly that here on this forum it is no longer allowed I just didn't expect to read something like that. I feel foolish for even bothering to speak my mind and correcting you, I thought you of all the people would definitely understand where I was coming from, but I was wrong.
I remember the day the character Vicky was introduced for the first time. Yes along with me many others were repulsed at the thought of him being Jai's and Meera's biological son, but most of us limited our criticism towards the story/the character only, we didn't get carried away by saying how could ekta choose him to play Vicky, he should atleast look like Jai's son, he is so ugly etc etc.
While some were having a go at the person's physical attributes there was a mother on this forum who so sweetly made a post as to how excited she was becoz Vicky looked like her son, she praised him just like all mothers praise their children and frankly he is not that bad to be run down in such a manner. Can you even imagine that mother's plight when she must have read such degrading remarks about Vicky's looks, yes they were not directed towards her son, but it was as good as doing that. I felt very bad for her that day.
Anyways, enough of my preachings to you and your friends, that was not the intention and I don't consider it to be preaching, it was more like exchanging view points or notes which differed, but if that is what your friends want to call it, then let them be happy. All said and done, just to clear their misconception and yours, I made no attack on your eyesight.....to the person that has claimed so, please go read what I said carefully before trying to preach in return to me.
To sum it all, I simply said what I felt was right, if you didn't like it, my apologies to you and your friends once again and to any other members who might have got upset with my replies. It's different I got a whole lot of pm's commending/backing me for taking a stand on a issue like this, but I won't blow my own horn here. I thank them for their support and understand their plight of being afraid to openly say something positive in my favor becoz they know for sure they will be attacked in return ........and for those who wanted to pitch in for me, I advised them not to, becoz I am capable of fighting my own battles, I don't need anybody to speak on my behalf or re-endorse my views, after all it is I who said what was said, so I and I alone should/will face the consequences. đ
Last but not the least, like you Tin, I too am not sorry for writing what I felt was right but at the same time hope you don't have any hard feelings and carry any grudges.
