Dear Munchkins,

As a dedicated viewer of Kasamh Se for last two years I have every right to let out my fustrations towards the makers of the serial. I am consumer who is being served with rubbish at the moment it is my frustration speaking, as for Re.1 or Rs.100/- it was meant to be a joke so take it with a pinch of salt..love Tin

I thought you said you stopped watching . Anyways, there are a lot of frustrated members on this forum, many are not happy with the current status of KS, and yes you have every right like the rest of us to speak out, but like I said before, there is a limit/line of decency one needs to maintain........just my view. 😊

P.S: I know Ekta does not care but as consumers we have right to protest about the product being served...as for forum rules I have not taken anybody's names

You didn't need to take any names, there are only a handful of actors that fall under the generation next category, it's pretty obvious who you are referring to, don't you think.

and if the mods think they can close the topic but that will not serve any purpose as this forum is meant for viewers to give their views about the serials they watch...

I must say I was hugely hugely disgusted with generation next, the actors looked like extras, even extras look better and who was the silly boy calling Meera Masi? Anyway long time back I was collecting money to send Meera to tinbactoo, Ekta refused that time saying I need her for the show as Prachi is leaving, but I think seriously Ekta is now in short of money, cannot pay good / handsome/ pretty looking actors to play the next generation. As they are sore on my eyes to watch them

So are your trying to advocate that only good looking people as per your standards should act in serials, the rest who you feel are not upto the mark and make your eyes go sore should not venture into tellyland?

More than the serial you were busy taking digs at the generation next actors and how they don't look handsome enough for you and make your eyes sore etc etc....it's clearly against the rules don't you think. Even those actors are working for a living, so what if you don't find them handsome enough, does it give you the right to make comments about their physical attributes?

in the past we have discussed from ill fitting clothes to beautiful scenes, disected Meera/Pia/Jigyasa right left and centre....

Correct, stick to the clothes, scenes and characters then, leave out the personal comments about how the actors look, so what if they are junior/not well known actors, they have a right to follow their dreams too. 😛

Niether SRK nor Aamir Khan are handsome actors but with their acting they make us forget that we are watching average looking person and if their acting was good, no issues, I would not have complained...and if you read my post carefully I did mention that after 2 weeks I sat down to watch for a person like me it is a long time as for past two years I rarely missed an episode...and it is not only me who is complaining but there are several posts regarding it...kindly go through the same, if this post needs to be closed, so are those and several others which we posted earlier regarding Meera's acting and non acting, Pia calling her Mr Volleya and Jigyasa's at times over acting nor meek acting when Ashwini was replaced for sometime...I work in an office even our performance is evaluated every year....

Munckins, for all the preaching that Tinny should stay in limits while criticizing the actors, I dont see you following ur own advice dear. You also have no rights to criticize Tinny for her post when number of other ppl also posted the same view as her and also you have no right to ask her to get her eyes checked. Probably you might want to follow what you preach first.


Like Tinny said, Pia was criticized number of times for her acting skills and the way she looks, so was Rohit (remember Anu's hubby), Ash, JW for his ties, AD for his use of hand gestures and the way he looks. Now suddenly criticizing actors has become a big deal and members are getting personal against another.

Considering how these not handsome looking actors are sore on your eyes, don't you think a Rs. 1 contribution from yourself is a bit stingy........you seem to be sooooooo affected by their looks etc., be more dildaar afterall I am sure your eyes mean much more to you than these generation next actors, if you can't show any respect for them or their looks, atleast show some respect for yourself/your eyes.

Also, being a consumer does not give you the right to get so personal about the actors and their looks, even if they are junior and not upto your standards. What may cause you sore eyes, may not be the same to others on this forum, ever thought about that. Whatever makes it right for you to make such comments about the actors is beyond me, I guess I am not as disgusted with things as you are and even if I am, I prefer to stay within my limits and show respect to all no matter what the circumstances.

Munchins seeing that you are getting personal and attacking a forum member I would say the level reached is perhaps a bit lower by you. Jayati as a viewer has the freedom to state her opionion about actors in a show which she is doing and she is not bashing them, and that is what the forum is for, but I would ask what gives you the right to bash a member of this forum.

I definitely find SRK and Aamir Khan handsome......as per MY standards and loads and loads of other people I know and come into contact with on a daily basis, they ALL feel the same way too. In fact when SRK was on our flight recently and even Aamir couple of months back, we went thru hell trying to keep away passengers from falling all over them. Why would they specially the women swooning and sighing if they did not find them handsome and instead thought they were average looking people. 😉

As for several others complaining in different posts, thanks but I do skim thru them as and when I find the time, hell even I complain, but it is purely about the pathetic story, I never indulge in taking digs at physical attributes, who knows somebody may be doing the same about me 😆 and I know I would definitely be hurt to hear people say even extras look better than me, I look silly etc etc. It's different I am not that way, but still, I like to think outside the box at times and put myself in those people's shoes. 😛

You clearly commented on the actors looks 😆. I don't remember anybody making such remarks about Pia, Jigs etc., yes their acting was ridiculed, but not their looks. You, did just the opposite.....mentioned only how they look bad, like extras, in fact even extras look better etc etc, hence your eyes got sore........see what I am saying.

I think if you are in the entertainment industry you get evaluated on your looks, your acting, your appearance, eveything. If looks were not imp than people would not be torturing themselves to get six pac abs or become size zero and some time non actors would not become leading men just because they look good. So stating an opinion that the new gen are not great shakes in the looks department is not out of the realm of discussion on this forum. She is just stating an opinion of her likes or dislikes. If she thinks they look like extras that is her opinion, you can agree or diagree.

Sorry Meghna but I ain't getting personal and attacking any forum member, just posting my views like she has the right to post hers. 😛

I know my levels very well that is why I did not make comments about the junior artists and their looks, she did....I merely pointed out that it is not right as per me and if that makes my levels low, then so be it. 😛

As for what gives me the right to bash a member.....the same right that she has to bash the generation next actors, afterall like you said, that is what the forum is for.

And mind you, just like u think she is not bashing anybody, I too feel i am not bashing her, just making my point which is different 😛 I have a right to do that don't I? Just becoz the actors aren't here to protect themselves does not give us members the right to point fingers at how they look, talk about their work, but why their looks, what may not be good looking to one may be good looking for many others. Yes the entertainment industry is such that people can comment about looks etc., but here on this forum it is not allowed, so if other members get warned, or are told off when they do it, why shouldn't this one? 😊

Thanks for pitching in for me, Since the show has got nothing to offer, I think we are getting personal here. I will not like to get into any sort of accusing any other member special on my post but yes those days are gone when we called Rohit frog faced (now he is a hearthrob of Kasturi) and Meera's smile. I am given to understand these are part and parcels of showbiz which every actor as to go through, even Sahil i.e Prashant was not a great actor but he was good to look at so we woman folks never complained about his looks. Nevertheless my stand is very clear that for me KS is a product and I have every right to critize it.

Thanks my friends for standing by me because I was really taken aback by the attack, never in my 2 years in this forum I have been attacked so personally infact I have received several PMs that people find my post funny and enjoyable, specially when I used to write 'aaj ki do baate' and take on Meera mercilessly, from her smile, looks and acting...something as gone amiss somewhere...I am sorry to hurt the sentiments of the Members but I am not sorry for writing this post, as a consumer it is my right, this is show biz remember...in replying to Munchkin's post I can only say that yes I am not evaluated for my looks in this office because here looks don't matter, if I had been an actor / model etc., definitely measurement criteria would have been different...Once again thank you friends, love Tin
