WARNING - Strictly no chatting on threads

Hi Everyone

We have had to make this post once again as members are not listening and not adhering to IF rules and as development team members we have to follow the rules. We have closed few threads in the past which clearly had chat elements and this is carry on.

This time we will warn members through pm's and if it carries on it will lead to raised warning levels. There are places on this forum for chat and we think PM is also a good way of chatting so please refrain from chatting on discussion threads becuase we would be forced to close them.

We would appreciate everyones cooperation on this matter and happy posting.

There are lots of spamming going on that is not related to the topic and members are chatting and the quoting needs to be at a minimum. The quoting making the page numbers increase.

armm had one doubt .wat if we visit a thread(related to KS) and post a reply der then we also see someone had written something in which we might want to add our views on it as well so quoting that post and replying to it. does it count on chatting? 😕

just wanted to clear this out coz i do that sometimes if i think i wanna add a bit in it i do quote that reply and add my reply in it.. also if that person again quotes and reply back and i reply him/her back (removing the old quote only keeping the new one)does it call chatting??
by quoting and replying i mean regarding ks and Jai and bani 😕

A very valid question Divs and we appreciate as a Team.

As you have mentioned, if you want to respond to a particular part of some post which is already included in the answer, I think you can QUOTE it and the delete the other sections and include that section of the answer to which you are responding only.

As a result, the no. of pages will not increase that much and you can still answer to the relevant quotes.

Say for example, A, B, C, D and E have all answered a particular post and its in the form of quotes, but you want to answer to C only.
So you select the Quote Button and once selected, delete the remaining parts and keep C's part only. In that way, you will be able to answer C's quote only. Hope you understood. 😕

I know this is not going to be something the mods want to hear but to be honest, one of the charms of IF KS is the friendly atmosphere and laughing at some of the comments and quotes people put up. If there is a way of achieving your goals without restricting members too much, that would be great - the show has put off many people and the forum seems to be slowing down already. I may be wrong, but enjoy this forum too much to keep quiet.
