Love the confused Bani...i just hope something happens and Mayank and Bani break their engagement but not because of Jai of course because then he'll look bad, but for some other reason

I was looking for a different type of FF, I read several and did not interest me, but once started reading this FF I could not stop all..

Beautiful flow it has, excellently written..
most I like is Jai is in love with Bani, Bani does not have a clue..

Just keep it that way for some time and let Bani's and Mayank's engagement should break up..

Just show one sided love for some time..

first of all i'm so so so sorry for the delay in commenting!! i have no excuses!! 😳

i finally caught up on parts 9 and 10 and i am really really lost for words!!! 👏 👏 👏

espcially the last part!! the last dialogue!! vaah meri jaan, kya kehne!!! (i mean jai not you sangs! 😛 )

PART XI

Holding the delicate B&M watch in her hand, Bani sat on her bed, completely bewildered and shocked. Her brain still trying to unravel the mystery behind Jai's words, she looked down at the watch and caressed it lovingly. Another of Jai's gifts, she thought, not marked by its price value, but by the emotional worth attached to it by the giver, and like all his other gifts to her, touched by an unmarked elegance and dignity. But what did he mean by

'It doesn't hurt me at all. It will heal very soon but for time being, it's like an embellishment for my love for the person who matters the most to me in this world.' ?

Did he actually mean to say that he loved the receiver of his gift? Now wait a minute Bani, she chided herself. Jai must have meant the love that a friend always feels for his/ her best friend. And this was definitely the case here. But then again, why was he behaving like this recently? Bani thought in deep consternation. Is he over-reacting? How would she have had behaved if one fine day Jai landed up in her Office and told her that he was getting engaged?

Just as she had done.

Of course she had confided to Jai, before taking any decision, about Mayank and the proposal and how her family was seriously considering it. In fact, Jai had accompanied Bani to meet Mayank during their first individual get-out, when the two were trying to understand one another. Bani knew very well that Jai was extremely protective about her, so she had invited him along with so that he can measure up Mayank from a guys' point of view and then only did she consider the alliance seriously. It was also an attempt to let each of the guys know the respective place occupied by the other in her life and that these roles were mutually exclusive. Jai had been extremely happy at the prospect and had accompanied her to meet Mayank at the Chestnut Oak and he and Mayank had hit it off immediately. Bani liked Mayank, he was a nice guy, but the way these two adapted to each other, warmed the cockles of her heart. And she knew, she was making the right decision. So why now this? Bani pondered over this question again and again. She really wanted to speak to Jai, not speak as in SPEAK, but really have a heart-to-heart with him. But it seemed that this would have to wait for a few days until she was on her feet, completely kicking fit and in control of her life once again.

Jai drove to his office and as he meandered through the busy Mumbai streets, his mind wandered back to the morning that he had spent with Bani few minutes earlier. She looked so cute with her pig tails, Jai thought with a smile on his face, and so adorable. How he wished to have been able to collect her in his arms and soothe her and run his hands lovingly through her hair. Of course, he was mildly surprised when Bani had launched her arms around his neck after receiving the gift and after his initial hesitation, he had embraced her in a bear hug. Jai knew very well that his last statement had managed to ruffle Bani's feathers. He had no intention of doing so but it was getting damn difficult to control emotions any more.

The traffic controller's sharp whistle broke his reverie and he hurried along.

………….

A week later …

Bani was back at work. Jai knew this the moment he had crossed the threshold of their JV Office. The staff members seemed sort of happy, he thought, they all loved Bani a lot. Unlike him, the staff was mainly jittery and tensed around him. Bani and he were different as chalk and cheese, but Jai often wondered, how did they ever manage to come closer to each other and finally become best friends? He remembered of their meeting in New York a few years back when …

'Jai, what are you thinking? Wont you enter?' Bani's voice broke through his stupor.

'Hi dear, how are you feeling today?' asked Jai as he strode down the cabin to where Bani was seated and enveloped her in a bear hug. Bani smiled mischievously and said

'Well how does that concern you Mr. Walia? You forgot that I existed on this planet during the last week and even refused to accept my call.'

Jai crossed over to the other side of the table and sat down, crossing his legs and folding his arms across his broad chest. He was already feeling warm and fuzzy and … in short, electrifying.

He cleared his throat and said
'Ok, I was abroad for some personal work and I wanted to be totally incommunicado for a while. In fact I had left my mobile back at home and I saw your missed calls only last evening, after I returned. Thought about calling you, but then I presumed that you would prefer the entire sexy package in front of you rather than just my sexy voice. What say?'

After a minutes silence, both of them broke into full throated laughter. 'What must the staff be thinking?' Bani thought 'Weirdoes, I guess'.

'Seriously Jai, I missed you a lot', Bani smiled warmly and turned her attention to sign the letter that her P.A. had placed in front of her some time back for her urgent signature.

'How much?' Jai asked casually, lifting up a paperweight from the desk.

Bani raised her glance, having finished signing the letter, and pressed the buzzer. She passed on the letter to the peon who had entered and still holding Jai's gaze with her own, said 'You know for sure.'

'I don't' Jai remarked a little too rashly 'Why don't you tell me? Or better show me?'

Exasperatedly, Bani said 'What's wrong with you Jai? It seems I cannot understand you anymore. Tell me what's affecting you so much. Or is it your personal life that you were referring to sometime back. Do you have a secret mistress and/ or wife stashed away somewhere like a Swiss account?'

Jai's eyes glinted dangerously, as sharp as polished steel. He bent slightly forward over the desk and whispered

'Ms. Dixit if that is and was the case, why should I be here sitting in front of an intelligent, sexy woman and hoping against hope that one day she gets my message before its too late for either of us to react and act on it? And don't pretend Bani that you never understood. Only you didn't want to realize it Bani.

I am tired of all this game. Now it's your call, you decide, I will go with what you decide.'

A beauiful part and after such a long time 😃 . You are forgiven for giving us such a fantastic and wondeful update to read. 😛

Ah... so our Jai is already sure about what he feels for Bani, 😃 but our darling Bani seems to be the confused one here. 😃 😆 😆

Excellent is all I can say. You really are a superb writer and too good with describing the feelings, emotions and turmoil one goes through in their mind so beautifully and eloquently. 👏 👏 😃

Hope the next part is updated much quicker, but I eally don't mind waiting at all when you come up with such heart warming parts. 😳 😛 😃
