DOTW: Trusting Ekta?!

Hi Guys',

After our first pair, Fizulki and Sangitadas did a tremendous job with their DOTW of last weekend, now its our turn to entertain you, make you think and thereafter PLEASE grab your keyboard and start an intense discussion on what we put before you!

At least if we did our work well,that's what should happen, but if we just bore you, there will not be any sort of discussion at all we guess!

So here is the team: Shish from Dubai and Maria-n from Holland for the

DISCUSSION OF THE WEEK OF AUGUST 16

Since quite some time, there is an uproar in the forum about the unfolding storyline of Kasamh Se……many of us expect the worst to happen, trust in "Ekta" and her creative team is at an all time low and quite a few of us, threaten to stop watching Kasamh Se or already did so. Others only read the updates or just watch once in a week…..

Kasamh Se is no more the love-story,which kept us spellbound for so many months.

After the breathtaking scenes of Jai and Bani becoming lovers, a most wonderful episode, which kept us talking and dreaming for weeks, in expectation beforehand and in admiration thereafter…….they stepped on the path of loosing their love, that very night, led onto it by brainless Pia! Still we did get to see many beautiful scenes – but the doom of 29^th june of seven years earlier was hanging unavoidable above Jai and Bani. Roshni dealt the final blow: they never slept in the same room after that night at the mill and a few days later Bani left Jai altogether! Even so when she was carrying the prove of their love: their child!

It was Ekta and her team who gave us a serial different and more captivating than any other. Our praise for the quality of the script and the acting knew almost no limit, we became addicted to Kasamh Se and so our forum bloomed!

The pair of Jai and Bani, with their fabulous chemistry - Jai being the hottest man on earth and Bani with her uncommon beauty and her character of selflessness and dignity – became the center of our lives – we lived for them.

Yet the story had to continue and Ekta has to keep her viewers interested!

A lovesick couple, sitting at home, happily awaiting their baby will only be interesting for a few episodes, but after that SOMETHING HAS TO HAPPEN!

And here lays the very problem!

Many of us have seen Ekta serials before, (Khashish on Zee for instance) , some only heard about them. Many, many serials Ekta has produced and somehow, among a number of forum-members she has the name of ruining her programs, of disappointing her viewers, of choosing for unrealistic and sensational turn of events. These rumours or whatever they are, colour many updates, observations and discussions on our forum – they create a certain expectation of what will happen in Kasamh Se and that is: THE WORST

Now we want to ask you or better said:

this is our proposal for the DISCUSSION OF THE WEEK

SHOULDN'T WE TRY TO TRUST EKTA AND HER KASAM SE-TEAM? WHY WOULD SHE DESTROY HER SUCCESFUL STORY?

SOME MORE QUESTIONS

SHOULD WE REALLY ONLY EXPECT THE WORST TO HAPPEN?

LOOKING BACK: DID THE WORST REALLY HAPPEN, WHEN WE WERE EXPECTING SO OR WAS IT MOST OF THE TIME ACTUALLY NOT SO BAD AT ALL?

SHOULDN'T WE TRY TO FIND THE REASON BEHIND THE BEHAVIOUR OF THE CHARACTERS, TRY TO REALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH THEM – SO THAT TURNING VERY SAD (JAI) OR TURNING VERY INDIFFERENT AND NASTY (BANI) IS NOT JUST IRRITATING BUT RATHER VERY UNDERSTANDABLE AND REALISTIC GIVEN THEIR SITUATION!

Why do we ask you these BORING QUESTIONS?

Just so, that perhaps after this discussion, we will trust a little more that not only bad things happen in KS and that it will be a bit more enjoyable again to watch he episodes: just sit back, relax and let it happen on your screens! Forget to get irritated, don't get put off! (We know: difficult task.) Support Kasamh Se, in good and bad!

Lets stay proud to be the most devoted and crazy fans of the best serial on Indian TV today: kasamh se !

After all this dry stuff, we get on a much lighter note now to review and observe the last two episodes - with a smile - and ask a few more questions from you!

Yeh Duniya ek pagal khana hai……

We have tried to analyze a few characters, based on, last few episodes. Hope you guys like it.

Pagalaon ki kami nahin hai duniya mein, ek dhoondo hazaar milte hain:

The first place to look for them is the Dixit house. As it is not right, to say bad things about the dead, therefore We'll leave Mama and Papa Dixit out of this. Though they were No.1 in the list. Now for the others:

1. Bani: Could you please tell us what bug has bitten you? Are you trying to save Jai's skin or to kill him????? Did you really have to be soooo rude to him? By the time Jai's money and property is safe, he will be already bed ridden with heart break and cryomania. Jahan pe bolna tha, wahan to aap munh mein ladoo liye kahri rahin, aur jab bola to uffffffff. Sorry, lagta hai, munh mein ladoo nahin karela liye hui thi. What r u up to? Maybe, as many are predicting she is being blackmailed, but still being so rude is un-understandable.

More over we think we should send a search party to Bani(Prachi's) house. She seems to have lost all her expressions and acting somewhere, when she had gone on her holiday.

1. Pia: Hum to doobenge sanam, tujhko bhi le doobenge. Now that Pia is aware of Bani's feeling (exfeeling) for Pushkar. She is sure going to create more misunderstanding between Jai and Bani, in order to help her Di. Apni shaadi to takreeban tor hi chuki hai, ab Bani ki toregi. Lagta hai jab akal bat rahi thi, to yeh paise wali line mein khari thi. Akal ke kaam se to door door ka koi waasta nahin hai. Now that the cat is out of the bag, God alone knows what all problems will be created.

2. Rano: Has anybody told you that Zyada bolna apni aur doosron ki saheth ke liye acha nahin hota hai? You were better when you spoke less.What made you tell Pia of Bani's feelings for Pushkar. Pehle hi problems kam hain kya? Woh bhi Pia ko. Now in no time the whole world will come to know including Jai!!!!

Now let's come to Walia House, here too you will find quite a few of them, we are naming just four:

1. Jigiyasa: Her motto in life : Jis dali pe baithoongi ussi ko katoongi!!! Imagine scheming to steal Jai's wealth. But alas!!!!Haath to aaya, lekin munh ko na laga!!!. Before she could get her hand to it, Bani took it away. All she was left with, was her tantrums.

It seems now a days her teeth and lipsticks are in competition with each other: which shines more. And we are suppose to vote for it. That is why she shows her teeth so much.

1. Ranveer: Shabash Bachche!!!!!!When ever some one slaps your right cheek, offer him your left too. EK baar mamaji se tappar kha ke ji nahin bhara tha???? Doosra khaane chale aaye.??????? This time it was harder one. Poor fellow fell down. Amazingly, he was right this time (about Bani).!!!! Bekaar mein thappar kha gaya!!!!Paise to kuch khaas mile nahin, rahi sahi izzat bhi gayi.

2. Sahil: Hum bolega to bolege ke bolta hia, isilye hum kuch nahin bolega. Cat caught your tongue or forgot your lines??????? Were'nt you supposed to defend your wife against wrong accusations. But no, our dear Sahil just stood there saying nothing. Jab khamosh hi, itna acha lagta hoon to boloon kyon? What about your promises to Bani ? First to promise, last to act on it.

3. Jai Walia: Kya se kya hogaya, bewafa tere pyar mein. Somehow, instead of picturising Jai as Dev Anand of guide, this line makes us think of Jai as Aamir Khan from Film Andaaz Apna Apna – Standing in a rest.'s kitchen and washing dishes with tears in his eyes, and this song being played in the background. . How the might falls!!!!. Bechara Jai. Use to roar like a lion, now is quite like a poor injured lamb. Heart broken and a broke at the same time. He was not there in the list. But what to say!!!Itne saare pagaloon ke beech mein rahega to pagal to ho hi jayega na!!!!

Time for some serious questions.

1.Will Jai start hating Bani now?

2. Why has Bani taken such a step, not just the divorce petition but acting mean and selfish??????

3. What is Pia going to do, now that she knows of Bani loving Pushkar, and she still believes that Bani does not love Jai. Will she tell Jai about this?

Oh Pia....the angel...well she will only tell Jai... thats all...she'll just make sure that J-B's marriage breaks off...u see her di lov(ED) pushy.... she can never know what Bani feels or felt for Jai... there is no need to know such petty things... so she'll tell Jai about Bani's love for Jai...make sure he divorces her...then if circumstances allow(by which i mean...if Jai has money...n is still rich...) she'll propose their wedding at the earliest possible...
dekho don't misunderstand her intention...she's an angel😳...she'll marry Jai...only to see to it that he doesn't go back to Bani..n ruin di's happiness😊... Pia only thinks of her di...thats all... n for the money part... arre ab shaadi to kar legi...but bechaari ko zindaa bhi to rehna hai na...solitaires bhi to chahiye jine ke liye....

Well it would be nice to trust Ekta, I would LOVE to trust Ekta... but you see, there is no precedent.

It's not a matter of why would she do this... she doesn't want to but kya kare ho hi jaata hai. Bacchi ka dimag hi aisa hai ek theda sochti hai.
No, I understand - if everyone is happy and ecsatic there is no serial ... but once you go to the trouble of establishing such lovely characters... why not keep them? Is it so impossible to create situations where they run true to form?

Tell me, is this the only possible route the Jai Bani romance could have taken? Yaaron, teen char Mills&Boon hi pad lo!!

Can they not have Jai Bani forced to come together for some external reason.. baby, Pia-Pushkar, or to save the business - kept the tension between them intact, but still drawn to each other? We would love all that tension, roz roz ka saamna, kitne door, kitne paas...

In their attempts to leave us with dhamakedar cliffhangers they ruin everything, not understanding that we don't actually want nail biting finishes every day... we want a nice, credible, emotional, passionate romance.

Sportspeople are told all the time: Quit when you're ahead. Quit when you're at the top of your form, not when people push you out. The same goes here.. when you run out of story, finish it. But Indian Televsion very rarely finishes soaps on their own - they go on and on, long after the viewer has lost interest and then when their audience is down to 20 or 25, they reluctantly shut down. They don't have the guts to finish properly.

They're caught in a forumla, Ekta and her team, and the problem is it never works for too long. We know that... they haven't yet figured it out.

SHOULD WE REALLY ONLY EXPECT THE WORST TO HAPPEN?

Not neccessarily, I think - they can still come back but I don't think they'll reach the glory of the April- June magic - they gave us superb episodes day after day.

I'll still watch for a while, see how it goes... bore ho gaye to apne aap hi aadat choot jaayegi. As long as Ram's there toh definitely. Uske baad, no point.

Arre Nahi baba . Jai can never hate her , he is head over heels in Love with her , pregnant with his child . he is just heartbroken and shocked ..i am sure he will take sharab ka sahara .. !bechara mera Jai .

Ok the divorce petiotin is eveident .. that she is doing it to save Jai , in some way financially .. I think Pushkar is the Brains behind this . he is was brilliant before Pia messed his brains and relationships .Why is she acting mean and selfish .. ? well she wants Jai to hate her . her selfish careless words will enable him to pull away from her , she has witnessed in the past that Jai despises people who betray him .. and Bani is trying to do that coz she dosent want to live with him . coz he murdered her mom accidentlly .

DUH , of course she will tell Jai .its emminent Pia will adorn the sacrificial cloak , open her big mouth to pushkar informing him that Bani loves him .. advice him to marry her di and make her Happy , she will get an immediate divorce from Pushy.

Before I'll try to answer your questions, let me tell you guys that you did a great job.
This discussion was very well built up. 😊

I agree with you that no matter how much we loved to see the turmoil after the wedding of J&B, their blossoming love after Maasi's arrival and finally the most beautiful C-scene, the show must go on.

And personally I feel that they could've done it in much better ways then the currently track they are following, if you look at the way the story was build up and followed till the PR raaz finally came out.

For me they faltered in the whole PR thing, they did not bring it out as we expected it; it was not handled very well.

And also nowadays, the characters of Jai, Bani and Maasi are not what they used to be before. 😕

If I can recall a scene of Maasi and Bani, Maasi was just getting hyper by seeing Bani with a worried face, when she needed money to lend to Pia, and now Bani left the house and she's just sitting and watching till Munna does something. I mean, where is the spirit and determination of this lady?? 😭

And we all understand that our Munna is totally in love with his wife now and that love indeed softens even the toughest guy, but where is his stubbornness, no – nonsense attitude and ability to indeed get what he wants, by hook or by crook? Nowadays he's just a quiet spectator of the events that keep happening in his life.

And Bani…what shall I say about her. Whatever the reasons might be for her latest behavior, she lost herself somewhere….

What I'm basically trying to say is, that particularly these three characters have lost the touch with their real selves, they are not what they used to be, and god knows who's responsible for this…? 🤢

I think that Ektaa and her team should consider these things to, since they are very important to keep the essence of the show and characters alive, and not just focus on 'creating twists and turns to keep the show going on'.

But all said and done, I'm still optimistic about the things that will happen in the future; hope that's handled in the same unique magical style of KS that keeps us hooked. 😳 😳

I just had to get this out of my system, now to the questions……….

1.Will Jai start hating Bani now?
I don't think so, because he's already very soft on Bani, and deep in his heart he knows that she'll never deliberately do to him what she did to him now. There must be some reason to this. But we still have this Pushkar-Bani bomb which Pia surely will drop on him, and that will make him insecure. He'll relate this to the things that Bani said to him regarding divorce and abortion and draw his own conclusions, and maybe emotionally try to distance himself from Bani.
But what I really expect THE Jai Walia to do, is to confront Bani with this and ask her if she still cares for Pushkar in this way…(we know better, don't we?? 😉 )

That's something I'm still trying to figure out, but I have no answer for that. Ok, she may have very valid reasons to do so, which she can't tell Munna now ( don't know why? 🤢 ) but how can she deliberately talk about abortion and mistake about 6/19?? Only to hurt Munna? I think that she's doing the divorce thing to PROTECT him, not to hurt him?? Only time will tell if Bani's actions were justified, and I really hope that they don't keep this going on for a long time, since in the beginning of KS they were used to 'solve the problems' on the right time, without dragging it.

I'm sure she will, and try to convince him to set Bani free so she can be with Pushkar. But once again, on this, I expect to see the stubborn Jai who'll refuse to do so, since Bani is carrying HIS child. And we all know how much he cares for his unborn child. 😳
From Pia's side I think that since she believes she's no more in love with Pushkar, she'll try to bring him and her sis together, in order to make up for the 'mistake' by falling in love and marrying Pushkar. According to her, her marriage ruined her sis life in resulting Bani marrying JW. But hopefully, thanks to my stubborn Munna, this plan of her will fail…




So let's cross our fingers and watch the good times to come, because after bad days, you have a lot of good ones! 😊 😊

No....no...nope...Jai cant and will not hate her and the reason is strong that they both even though far apart can feel their pain,lonliness,longings,and above all their profound LOVE.He may be hurt...heartbroken....and may also be angry but that dsnt make him to hate her.In all his years for the first time he understands the true meaning of love and the pain of loosing the one you love and im still keeping my trust on him that he'll straighten his married life. Moreover he trust her more than himself and i hope he'll keep up his faith.

Im left with no clue 😕i mean she wanted to save his property and i cant get why she's being cold towards him and she dunt want to tell him anythin either😕 i cant get why she dsnt trust Jai when handling ppl😕.My take is that may be she needed some strong accusations for her divorse(though to save him) to make him believe and this time she took Jais place and telling craps is all i can say

PS:Im just waiting what Ektha has in store for us and what reason she is up with only she knows

I think that is gonna happen,coz Pia is thinking that she ruined her Di's life and now she got smth to put an end to JB relation as she still assumes that they are not in luv with eachother and their marriage has reached an end so she confirms herself and break it to Jai who already been shattered by his wife.

She is not going to use her brain n try to unite Jai N bani as she knowns that Bani is pregenant from Jai's child. But she whould try to unite Pushkar and Bani instead.

No , would be the answer. He will not really understand Bani for a while but because he loves her he will be able to forgive.

2) Why has Bani taken such a step ?
Bani is insecure. She knows that Ranveer is money-minded and if possible he will try to take over Jai's shares...... She also knows that Jig. and certain other people will never except her child...so
she has to secure her child's future , which I am sure any mother would do...

3) What is Pia going to do know ?
She will be very hurt for a while ...
After that she is going tell Jai...
Then she will send a divorce notice to Pushkar and tell him the truth. After that Pia and Pushkar will get divorced and Pushkar will start falling in love with Bani....BUT Bani and Jai still are in love and after Bani finds out that Jai didn't kill her mother she will go back to her hubby ... Pia will be left alone so she will try to get Pushkar back .....

Congrats to Maria and Shish for this wonderful DOTW. Its simply fabulous.
I know that if they keep on showing Jai and Bani as a lovesick couple, completely devoted to each other, as u girls have mentioned, nothing much would be left to show. Their love for each other can be proved only if it withstands the serious tribulations along the road. So, in a way, Ekta is trying to make KS interesting. What i am worried abt Ekta though is that she destroys the sanctity of all relations. I dont mind seeing JnB fighting it out for the divorce and alimony, but i definitely do not want Bani and Pushkar to be hitched together. 😡

now, for the questions :
1.Will Jai start hating Bani now?
A: I think he will take some more time to hate her, but he will start resenting her after some time. Hate is too strong a word, i guess. They can't hate each other for their salt's worth and this dilemma keeps on killing them every single day.

A: Bani is definietly protecting Jai an dthere's a much bigger game plan i believe. She's a duffer but she's not mad. Some of us may not agree to her crisis management technics, but they always work out in the end. Hopefully, this time also somethign good will happen.

A : OMG, i really have to talk abt Pia now. I am sure God din't give her brains, whatever little she inherited has already been used for her self-consuming attitude, so its natural that she will not be able to even see whats right there in front of her.
She knows Bani loved Pushkar once, but she fails to udnerstand the intensity of Bani's feelings for Jai. So, i am afraid that very soon the pea-brain will do somethign hat will rock JnB relation further.
