In terms of shopping u can do one of two things. Downtown there is the Gallery...which has a bunch of stores...and discount type and some departmental type depending on ur budget. So u can surely shop there...and that is local to ur downtown historic hotel (I am assuming this is wat it is). And if u have transportation u can travel out of downtown Philly abt 25 minutes (u can take a bus) and go to Franklin Mills Mall...it has all designer outlet stores w/very very low priced products. That I think u would enjoy. In terms of CD's well downtown and all around Philly there are Indian stores at random locations so I think u'll have luck anywhere...if u can and do have time to go to New Jersey then u will get a wide selection. But I think ur limited in terms of time.
