Hiii, welcome to the forum. I'm new here too but koi nai, welcome Le lo.
Yep, go ahead and read the book. The book will make you go through every point you have ever known but through a different route. The events are the same as Mahabharata, but the story you will read will be through Uruvi's eyes. And it will be a beautiful experience for you. Coz mythology has always ignored women if not necessary for the plot. Like we all know how evil Ravana was but not many know how good his wife Mandodari was, or how time and again she advised Ravana to stop all his evil doings.
We all praise Laxmana for his brotherly love and even give examples like Ram-Laxman ki Jodi hai. But not many know that his wife Urmila slept 14 years of his exile so that he could stay awake. Even Bhanumati, she is mentioned in Mahabharata but so roughly that one would not notice her at all. But she was in many ways doryodhana's consciousness, until the inevitable happened. There are many examples, but the point is, even though these things are mentioned in mythologys they are not given too much importance.

So it's comes as a breath of fresh air when we read a mythology which we are already aware of, but through a different point of view. And it's very nicely done. Every emotion which Uruvi feels are directly or indirectly related to the state in which Karna is. Such is her extent of love for him. And for the first time in any mythology adaptation, you will find Karna depicting emotions you have never seen him depict.
So if you can, give the book a try. You will not regret it.
