In a very subtle and cute manner CVs are showing how Uruvi is affected by Karn😳

First scene - Where Arjun is talking to her and she stands up seeing karn passing from there..😳

Second scene - Uruvi is thinking about karn when alone and says yes to her friends when they asked.

Third scene-How she expected karn to come in Kaling palace when she hears that someone from hastinapur has come..

Yes, the highlight of the episode tonight was Uruvi's growing infatuation! Because it is an infatuation, almost a schoolgirl crush. She is fascinated by Karna, so fascinated that she is almost bitter towards him! Her slight bitterness comes out whenever she speaks of him or to him.. but it's a whole other situation in her heart!

When Bhanumati asks her about her ideal man, it was amusing to see how she detailed all the dimensions of the feelings she felt when she met Karna! She said something along the lines of, "jo dekhe tou waqt rukh jaaye, na dekhe tou dil ruth jaaye".. is this not how she feels around Karna? This intense desire of making him look at her..she speaks of it without her own awareness! I also found her mental montage of Karna exciting.. she thought of three incidents.. Karna in the battlefield with his flying hair, Karna's golden earrings sparkling in the sun and her own visions of him praying to the sun god.. It's all very Bront novel-esque.. this fascination of hers! 😆 She is haunted by his visions and she wants to stay close to her crush! Hence, she wants to go to Kalinga the minute she hears Karna will be there.. Her heartbeat speeds up when she listens to the news of someone arriving from Hastinapur.. "yudh rokne ja rahi huin" she says.. she is right about the upcoming "war" in the swayamvar but I wonder what war she is really talking about! 😆

Karna, is an enigma.. He says he promised Uruvi because he cannot refuse anyone before his prayer.. thus setting up the tragic future. But he seems surprisingly invested in finding this gemstone for her. I believe Arjun's involvement is also one of the reasons for his investment..

On that note, I liked the Arjun/Karna encounter tonight.. Their confrontation carried some depth. But Arjun/Uruvi angle is starting to get on my nerves, it's incredibly annoying to watch!

Anyway, I also liked Duryodhan and Karna's friendship and hope it stays like this. I thought it was nice that Duryodhan decides to go to Kalinga for both himself and Karna's jewel.

Finally, the precap.. exciting and dramatic.. I want to see what they do with this. Makers seem to waste no time... They get to the point from the word go.

I am yet to watch...but I have full trust on this. Karna and Urvee are made for each other. It is after so long that I heartily enjoy an Indian show. 😊

As usual, and as expected, a very good and insightful post.

What I found the most perceptive is your description of Uruvi's feelings towards Karna as an infatuation, a schoolgirl. crush. That is exactly what it is. Something that has hit her out of the blue, as unexpected and it is overwhelming.

Your comment that this makes her slightly bitter towards him is spot on.As is the reference to a Bronte heroine. Wuthering Heights?

As I noted on another thread, I feel that Uruvi does not yet know what she wants. She is beginning to obsess over Karna, but it is something she does not yet understand.

Arjun is too familiar a part of her life for her to fall in love with him; love needs a dose of mystery, of things to be discovered, of uncertainty, of hope and fear. With Arjun, there would be none of these! Karna fulfils all these requirements, and is besides very different from any of the men she has known so far, an added plus!

As for Karna, he is bound to grant any request made to him after his surya vandana.

But I don't think his keenness to locate and secure the gemstone is because of the Arjuna angle. He has given Uruvi a timebound vachan, and she has deliberately warned him about failing to meet the deadline - and she is very aggressive, almost mocking, when she does that - and he is naturally very eager to find a way of fulfilling his promise. It is another matter that the thing literally falls into his lap! I wonder what he would have done of it had not done so.

As for the precap, I have already commented on it on your thread This scene!, and have nothing to add to that, so I shall not repeat myself here. But I do wish the CVs would steer clear of such hackneyed ploys. The next will be for Uruvi to slip and fall,and Karna to catch and hold her, as in the Raj Kapoor Films logo!
